Reunited Van Halen Plays First Gig (VIDEO)

A reunited Van Halen played to a tiny but thrilled crowd at New York’s small Cafe Wha? club on Thursday night.

Fronted by David Lee Roth, it marked the legendary band’s first time on stage since announcing plans last month for a major tour this year.

This week, Van Halen also confirmed details about their first studio album with Roth in nearly thirty years.

A Different Kind of Truth will go on sale on February 7.

Meanwhile, their tour will kick off on February 18 in Louisville, Kentucky, and 45 dates have been confirmed so far.

    Diamond Dave is awesome… even if you have to hear him ramble on. I still can’t believe Van Halen is back in action. Eddie looks and sounds great… definitely one of my top 3 guitar players I look up to. Can’t wait to get the new album and see VH on tour. Impressed with Wolfgang’s bass playing… great fit for the band. Let’s hope for a happy ending after a llllllllloooonnnngggg wait.
