Val Kilmer Hospitalized, But Says It Was NOT For Throat Tumor [UPDATE]
Val Kilmer was hospitalized this week after he began bleeding from his throat. The actor was rushed by ambulance from his Malibu home to the hospital on Monday after someone called 911. Kilmer subsequently denied reports that he was being treated for a tumor, calling his health scare a “complication” but declining to get more specific.
The actor is believed to have been suffering with some kind of medical issue for months. Back in October, Kilmer battled his landlord in court over $6,000 that had been withheld from his security deposit after Kilmer made unauthorized home improvements to the property. At the time, he reportedly told the judge he was not able to speak because his tongue was swollen.
Kilmer attended a Los Angeles Clippers game with his son Jack earlier this month, where he was spotted wearing a scarf that covered his neck. He has worked steadily over the last couple of years, including providing voice work in the 2013 animated movie Planes. Gossip Cop will have updates on his status, and wishes Kilmer a speedy and full recovery.
