U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team ‘Good Morning America’: Watch ‘Final Five’ Interview (VIDEO)
The U.S. women’s gymnastics team, otherwise known as the “Final Five,” appeared on Monday’s “Good Morning America” to discuss their experience at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Watch the interview below!
Simone Biles, who’s won three gold medals in the Summer Games so far and looks to score her fourth on Monday, admitted she hasn’t had much time to appreciate her victories. “I think you celebrate after your scores come up and you get the medal, but after that it’s just kind of like go, go, go again,” the Olympic champ said on the morning talk show.
Teammate Laurie Hernandez revealed the girls’ strategy going forward is to simply “do what we’ve been doing and not change a thing because that’s working really well.” Aly Raisman then went on to talk about the viral video of her parents squirming in their seats while watching her routine. “They get so nervous, and so do all of our parents because they want us to do well,” she noted. “They know how much hard work goes into it, but I feel bad after seeing the videos of how nervous my parents got, how stressed they were.”
The Team USA girls then answered a series of fun questions during a lightening round. Among the celebrities they most want to meet include Carrie Underwood, Zac Efron and Blake Lively, about whom Raisman said, “I want to go shopping with her.” The all-star gymnasts also unanimously agreed they plan on eating “pizza and ice cream” when they get back home, and binge watching TV shows including “Bob’s Burgers” and “Modern Family.” Watch the full “Good Morning America” interview below with the U.S. women’s gymnastics team!
