Us Weekly Buys Interview With Nick Young’s Pregnant Ex Keonna Green
Us Weekly bought an interview with Nick Young’s ex Keonna Green, who confirms she is 22 weeks pregnant with their second child. The confirmation comes after rampant rumors in the wake of Young’s breakup with Iggy Azalea.
As Gossip Cop reported, Azalea dumped Young and ended their engagement last month after security footage showed him with other women in their home. The split came several months after a prior cheating scandal. And the new breakup was said to be in part caused by Young impregnating Green, with whom he already has a 4-year-old son.
In response to the speculation, though, Azalea tweeted, “I have never even been told by nick that his baby mother is pregnant so if this is true I’m finding out via E news.” Not long after, a report said Green had obtained a lawyer and signed an exclusive interview deal with a media outlet, which called for her to refuse other requests in exchange for payment. That led Azalea to tweet, “I find it baffling anyone would make the choice to bring a child into the world under these circumstances + want attention and $ for it.”
Now less than a week later, it was revealed on Wednesday that Us Weekly was the highest bidder when the magazine’s new issue came out, touting the interview on its cover. “Iggy’s Split: Baby Mama Breaks Silence,” says the tease, while inside the edition there’s an extensive Q&A, which the tabloid also published on its website.
In it, Green describes how she and Young started hooking up again last fall, and how she discovered she was pregnant earlier this year with a baby girl. “I didn’t feel guilty,” Green is quoted as saying, adding, “I’m definitely not going to apologize for being in love with a man who I have a lot of history with. I do wish her that kind of success and hope that she can get through this difficult time and she and Nick can move forward from this.”
Green also claimed she “tried to reach out” to Azalea, but “never got a response.” The rapper has not commented on the interview. For his part, Young only alluded to the situation this past Friday. As Gossip Cop reported, the NBA player tweeted, “I live in a world where ppl f*ck up learn from it and move on.” He also posted an Instagram video of himself lip-syncing Drake’s kiss-off song, “Feel No Ways.”
