Gossip Cop wanted to address the content of the paparazzi video from over the weekend that showed Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart returning to their hotel after having dinner out in Vancouver.
There’s been a lot of speculation today about whether Pattinson and Stewart were arguing with each other. We looked again at the video – which we did not post to the site itself last night, which we will not post, and for which we did not pay – and spoke to a number of sources close to the stars.
They told us they were NOT fighting. Rather, Pattinson and Stewart were greatly annoyed with the constant and intrusive paparazzi presence, and the fact that, because the hotel lobby was open, someone was able to invade their privacy when all they wanted to do was get in an elevator and put a suddenly very public evening behind them.
Gossip Cop felt that many in the “Twilight” fan base would be upset with what’s become a suffocating paparazzi presence for Pattinson and Stewart, which is why we Tweeted out the video to our Twilight-heavy Twitter base. So that fans who have heard about their struggle with photographers could see with their own eyes what is going on. We wanted to be “eyewitnesses” to events, and we wanted to give fans the same opportunity, if they so desired. We specifically chose not to post the video to our actual site because we didn’t want to “get hits” from it. Instead, we just wanted to make sure that fans as fed up with the paparazzi as we are could see for themselves the cost of close-up, unwanted photographs to Pattinson’s privacy and Stewart’s.
So that’s where we stand. We’re outraged by paparazzi behavior. Please take a look at many of the videos of non-”Twilight” celebrities we’ve posted for weeks. The intent is to expose just how damaging and invasive the culture’s become.

First, let me say I do appreciate the good job you’re doing in keeping the gossip mags and tabs in line and introducing them to the TRUTH!
However, please allow me to say the Twi fan base already knows how bad it is for Rob and Kristen. We’ve seen it escalate over the last year to the point where we’re very worried about Rob and Kristen’s safety. We feel frustrated that a few crazy fans and the hordes of paps make it bad for them and it’s even more frustrating that scummit doesn’t even seem to care at all about their safety and well being.
When you post something like this, you of all people should know the paps, haters and trolls are going to use it to claim there’s trouble in their relationship. Clearly, they were not arguing but were responding to the person waiting for them at the elevator. I’d appreciate it if in the future when you post other vids you might want to explain what is happening to avoid all the crap the paps have been posting on twitter as truth.

I saw this video and I have to say I was really disgusted. It is one thing when a celebrity is out somewhere, or on the street. But to follow these poor kids or anyone right into their place of residence basically, is just a downright invasion of privacy. Ok, you say they are celebrities and they should know what they signed up for…well, that might be true to an extent, but that does not mean they are signing away their rights as human beings and to at least a certain amount of privacy where they are residing be it temporary or personal residence. Seems Nicole Richie was in an accident today, rear ended by a member of the “ratzi’s”. Isn’t she pregnant? These people don’t seem to care about risking their subject or their subject’s families to danger. It’s unbelievable to me that it’s not the fans that are horrible to KS and RP, but the media. I don’t care if they are famous, and that there is “freedom of the press”. These two kids also deserve freedom to live their lives as they see fit without someone harassing them constantly. I think they should take out orders of protection against all these newspapers. Imagine being 19 and 23 and chained to your hotel room….it’s worse than being in prison. I hope no one else shows this heinous and intrusive video.
Oh, for goodness sake. That hotel (Sheraton Wall Centre), has multiple entrances, one is in the underground parking garage. They don’t have to go through the main hotel entrance.
And they don’t have to play “the dance of the seven veils” with the nature of their relationship. All of this adds to the hype and makes things worse. Or maybe they don’t really think things are that bad. They sure don’t act it. They’re the only two regular cast members who are staying at that hotel. They’re always out and about together (with “friends" mostly, but generally not other cast members like during NM filming). Of course they’re a couple. Hollywood women who are A-list actresses like Kristen is now, do NOT date men lower on the food chain. It just doesn’t happen. So just be open about it, and demystify things.
Oh, and puhleeese don’t give me the BS about Summit not letting them go public. Gah. Summit have no leverage to stop them.
These paps are going after the prize. Some PDA or something confirming their relationship. As if there’s any question- but many Rob groupies are in serious denial (see Rob’s IMDb board). Wait until the publicity for New Moon gets ramped up. The competition for the first photo of them kissing or holding hands is fierce now. It will get worse. LOL – Rob & Kristen are making it worse.
Here’s a bright idea, and many MUCH bigger stars do it like say Brad and Angelina, Leonardo Dicaprio etc

How about hanging out with other people besides each other, maybe Robert should get himself a girlfriend or another female friend…this way that will give Kristen all the time in the world to moan and complain about oh I dunno the weather or how the world is so unfair.
Come on, man. I respect this site greatly for the bullshit that it normally puts away, but this was just poor, poor judgment. We who are fans of Rob and Kristen already know what they go through on a daily basis, so you’re preaching to the choir. I’ve already vowed not to watch pap-created vids anymore, no matter how much I love seeing Rob and Kristen, and I think that any self-respecting site would stop perpetuating the cycle.
Right on time, there’s the poster ‘dancing,’ — the stalker who is one of the ‘in denial’ Rob crazies that Gossipcop and others talk about, here to slam Kristen Stewart.
Here’s a clue ‘dancing,’ if you don’t want it to look like Kristen Stewart owns you and your pathetic life, try not to let on that you read all her interviews even before the issues hit the stands.
To address to of your sad points: Your advice, ‘walking not running,’ doesn’t apply to the line of cars that chased them back to their hotel, does it genius (for the record of what can happen, see Nicole Richie rear-ended today by paps). As for hanging out with others – as much of a stalker as you are ‘dancing,’ I’m sure you’ve seen the shots of Rob out with cast w/o Kristen, and ditto Kristen with Nikki Reed and Elizabeth Reaser w/o Rob. Your advice that Rob should get himself “a girlfriend or other female friend,” is yet another example of your raving mad raging jealousy – no, ‘dancing,’ you can’t be Rob’s NEW female friend, he already has a girlfriend: Kristen Stewart.
Rob won’t be marrying you any time soon. Get a life loser.
That said, I hope Rob & Kristen are reminded every day of what’s important, and that is each other outside of this temporary madness, because it will fade and not always be this insane (including posters like ‘dancing,’ who hopefully one day will get a life). What’s important is that they had a great time with friends – and from articles I read they did.
Oh and gossipcop, just so you know, the paps that chased them in their cab, followed them into their hotel and was shooting video of them at the elevator works for ‘Canadagraphs,’ and they wrote a blurb on their blog, that YOU bought THEIR intrusive harrassing footage.
So can you explain to us once again, how that action: Gossipcop PAYING PAPS who are endangering young people (one, a teen) , makes this kind of potentially dangerous pap behavior less of a possibility? You are creating the demand.
I applauded your policing of the gossip/tabloid industry initially – I believe your founder(s) to be sincere, but they need to really get a handle over this segment of your site that deals with pop culture persons and in-demand celebrities – it seems like too often you may either be collaborating with paps yourselves, or the agents of stars who need publicity (see my comment on Ashley Simpson’s ‘crush’ which was obviously a planted story for press attention).
We understand that you want to grow this site, perhaps in an effort to not be beholden into catering to the lowest common denominator, but right now you ARE making things worse if you are paying for this kind of dangerous stupidity. Back off of these kids, ease up yourselves on the 5-6 different ‘Robsten’/Twilight stories a day, and stop catering to the fans who are ‘in denial,’ and ‘overanalyze,’ as you say — lately it seems like they’re emailing you with ridiculous topics to either confirm or deny based on their own OCD like/paranoid behavior regarding Rob Pattinson. It’s one thing to clear up when a tabloid is claiming a ‘new exclusive,’ with pattinson that was a lie, and never happened. It’s quite another to buy stalker video footage, and then for the rabid ‘in denial’ fans, try to determine if Rob & Kris had ‘words’ at the elevator.
You are indulging and enabling them. Just stop. Cut the Robsten/Twilight crap back to a couple times a week, instead of twice a day.
Because seriously, you are NOW part of the problem. If what Canadagraphs says is wrong – you need to correct that before you do anything else. God forbid an accident happen, and you become known as one of their buyers.

They don’t have to come out just to please you, me or anyone else. They’re private people so why should they? Other couples like JayZ and Beyonce have said almost nothing about their relationship so it’s not like they’re doing something unheard of in Hollywood. Also, Kit, studios can have clauses in the stars contracts restricting them on many things including dating. Ask Gossip Cop if you don’t believe me.

No one is surrounding Brad or Angelina in the manner they are doing Robert and Kristen. You know why, because they’re doing humanitarian work and it’s not interesting to the papz that’s why. So is Leonardo DiCaprio, God forbid someone cover a speech of his talking about making the planet “green” . So that comment is just silly. It is sickening to hear someone tell another human being not to run from trouble when you’re being accosted and harassed not doing anything you’re being paid to do, but on your own time. That’s like saying, “hey when they’re shooting bullets, don’t duck”. The idiocy. It’s ridiculous for someone who has never been and will never be in their shoes to tell them how to handle this.
Yes, Twilight fans were absolutely livid by the video as Gossip Cop well knows from the tremendous outpouring of disgust they received from us yesterday. A hotel is your “home away from home” for anyone on business or vacation. There is an “assumed” right to privacy that anyone should expect when going into their home. That papz idiot didn’t stop at the door but actually ran into the building and went to the elevator which he had no business going to because he did not have a room and invaded their privacy by filming them. FOR WHAT?! WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE?! WHAT DID HE GAIN FROM DOING IT?! What was the point? Not to mention, where was the darn security stopping traspassers from entering the building harassing the residents of that building? Didn’t 9-11 teach us anything about security?
Furthermore, being an entertainer does not give anyone the assumed right to think that they are supposed to be on 24 hour publicity call. In otherwords, when do they get to have a life? Go shopping, eat at a restaurant, pump gas, walk a dog, get an ice cream cone, putting their child in a car seat (Note: The child is not the entertainer but just a minor being filmed) etc… Why do we need to see that?
Where were all the papz when Peter Facinelli was in Harrisburgh, PA doing a fund raiser for Alex’s Lemonade? Oh yeah, why go somewhere where something interesting is going on. Let’s follow someone eating dinner. And don’t blame the fans for the papz ridiculous behavior. Any fan who has twitter has been well informed about what’s going on re: filming and publicity. Peter, Billy Burke, Gil Birmingham, Michael Sheen and other cast members including the director, David Spade, have provided us with pictures and special messages throughout the filming. So to say that there’s some secret going on is just crazy. We understand that things are in lockdown due to the crazy papz and yes, some out of control fans, but we’ve been kept in the loop. So there’s no reason to have papz following the cast around Vancouver like their animals in a cage.
Did anyone take note today that Nicole Richie was rear ended in her car by papz? She was able to walk away thank God. And what’s the deal with not releasing his name and letting us know what smut organization he’s working for? Then there’s the situation with Sean Penn. Like I read today, please let me be on his jury…NOT GUILTY!! Oh he beat the crap out of the guy who was chasing and harassing him with a camera invading his privacy when he wasn’t working or doing anything that has to do with his occupation? GOOD! Did he break his nose, a leg, an arm? Did the papz suffer? I hope so.
So, the question is: When is enough enough? Oh, the feable argument that people like TMZ give is that they use us for publicity. Uh, so they are supposed to promote their product be it an album or movie duh. Just because they promote their projects when they are “working” doesn’t give you the right to treat them like animals while they “aren’t working”. Follow the people like Paris Hilton who love being followed by cameras and leave those who do want to alone. Simple. Some people don’t mind it and some do. Stop disrespecting those who don’t want it.
Here’s the thing I’m trying to get my head around: Why are a bunch of grown men following and surrounding a 19- year old female sticking cameras in her face – unwanted? There’s nothing wrong with this picture? She’s 19. She just graduated high school. She would be a college freshman. There’s nothing perverted about that? You think it’s ok? It’s not. I don’t care if she was 40, she’s a female. Strange men should never be allowed to follow a female around taking photos for any reason without her permission. It’s called stalking.
Did the death of Lady Diana teach us anything? But it’s not only just jamming cameras in their faces, it’s the vicious things they say when they are walking down the street. Outlandish and disgusting. Then you see the idiots like TMZ laughing at what some high school drop out or barely graduated high school guy they hired say to an entertainer dripping with insults and hostility as if it’s a joke. And if the entertainer doesn’t laugh at what the idiot says, then they don’t have a sense of humor. There’s something wrong with them and not the fool behind the camera who thinks a polynomial is a polygraph test.
I think Rob & Kristen should run. Let the fools try to catch them. It’s hard trying to take a picture or film while running. Don’t make it easy for them. You are on your own private time. They have no right to bother you. You have a right to a life outside of what you do for a living. Everyone else works 9 to 5. When they get off work, they don’t want the boss hunting them down telling them they have to go back in. Once they step off of that movie set, that is their time and no one else’s. LEAVE THEM ALONE before someone gets hurt. Nicole Richie has shown that it’s coming and I’m scared for them.
So the person who’s speaking about the level of fame someone has is how they should react, how famous is Nicole Richie as compared to Brad and Angelina or Leonardo DiCaprio? Does she deserve to be hit in her car? Chased on the road? Someone is about to be severly hurt or killed and I hope it isn’t Rob or Kristen.
The really chilling part of that video was when that woman walked right into the elevator with Rob and Kristen. There are plenty of crazy people out there, ones with violent fantasies, and Rob and Kristen are quite right to be fearful of the kinds of events of last night. They are charismatic people, and such people attract crazies. Also, the horrifying scenes of those women attacking Rob in NYC should be enough to make any one sick.
There is a petition asking Summit to provide reasonable security for these people. They are, in fact, the reason Summit is still financially viable. I would assume Summit (and all the people now employed by these 2 actors) would like to see the gravy train continue. At this point, I would be amazed if Rob or Kristen were happy about continuing filming the Saga (ie, BD). Why risk their lives for more money? My advice is, of course, nothing is worth what they are facing every weekend.
They have acted in a thoroughly professional manner: they are taking their roles in Twilight seriously,working hard to do as good a job as possible, taking direction from various directors, turning up for work when they are supposed to, promoting their projects with grace and patience, and not running down Robson Street in a drunken rage. They don’t party like others do. In fact, I would say that ALL the cast involved in this 3 part project have behaved very well, in all sorts of difficult situations. They deserve out respect. They should not have to run away from slobs with cameras, or feel terror when some fangirl stranger walks into their elevator without a by your leave.
Anyway, sign the petition, and maybe Summit will pay attention, who knows. So far, Summit has been nothing but outrageously stupid when it comes to Twilight, but.. one can hope.

The reality of the situation is that gossip-cop is a NEW website, and has to generate interest as a destination. When you think gossip websites, you definitely don’t think of gossip cop as the place to be. Someone definitely paid money for this video, in order to generate interest, traffic and brand awareness. As more salacious videos come up, gossip cop will pay big money in order to be first to break stories, etc.

You have a “Twilight-heavy Twitter base.” So you thought the best way to show how invasive the the paparazzi are is to post a link to the video on your twitter? A video that has “gossipcop.com” on the bottom right corner?

It’s amazing to me how rude people can be on this site. But anyway, for what it’s worth….I am truly disgusted over what the paparazzi is doing. Yes, they should expect this kind of thing being celebrities, but no, people shouldn’t be treating them as if they are a piece of meat, that are of little value. They are human just like the rest of us (just very blessed to have been selected to play the roles they have). In saying this, I can’t help but to feel that they have to take some responsibility for all the paparazzi….and this is why. Although, the paps will always follow them, they are adding fuel to their fire by not answering the big question about their relationship. The paps are following them around to get the mega $$ pic/story. During the filming of Twilight, Robert had no problem saying he was single, and Kristen had no problem saying that she had a boyfriend and had no intention to date Robert in the near future. Then as soon as New Moon hits, they both have completely stopped all interviews, and the few select interviews they have done, they have placed a restriction on asking about their relationship. They’ve almost segregated themselves from the rest of the cast, and are making the paps more and more eager to find out the story. If they want to truly end the rediculous pap craze, then they just need to say, “no we aren’t” or “yes we are, but we’d appreciate privacy”. That of course would take away the huge motivation that the paps are after right now. Like I said, the paps will never go away, but when you’re baiting the hook for them to go after….seriously, what do you expect??????????
i agree that the paps will not stop, and i’m thinking that even if they did make a statement, whichever one it would be, no one would believe them. Maybe that why they arent saying anything. And of course its none of our business about their personal lives. when they film separatly the rumors are muffled slightly. maybe the only relief is them being apart doing different things. Its sad and i feel for them. regardless of how experienced they are as actors and the fact they’ve been around the world. they are still young people with alot of life experience ahead of them, and probably not sure how to handle this huge problem of the paps chasing them. Step up to the plate Summit..and agents. summit you are not taking care of business..agents these people are paying you to do the right thing.. so do it!

We are fas, of course, but we wanna see our stars from twilight doing their jobs, movies, song and things like this. We don´t wanna see their sad or suffering because some people want a photo because their are hot, because Rob is beautiful, Kris change her hair… C’MON that’s ridiculous, this kind of people aren’t fas and don´t deserve our respect! I’m REALLY grateful about this post that you did today, and I hope that now with this article the thing start change! I hope that people start to respect, if they are REAL fas! Rob is not the same, we can see in the pics that he is sad, what’s the funny about that? I don´t know if people that live in other countries like to see this happening with their idols, but the fas that i KNOW don´t.

What are you guys fighting about? Is there a new video of these guys being chased INTO the hotel by the paz? When did this happen?
I feel really bad for Robert and Kristen. They are virtual prisoners at their hotel. Really, what right do the papz have to stalk them like that? I know they lead public lives (and there are some crazies out there that think by that virtue they signed up for this) but there ought to be some areas of discretion, some distance kept away from intrusive papz and fans (not the regular fans but the crazed stalker, grabby fans).
I know there are stalker laws, can’t they be applied to the papz? Or, can’t they be regulated or the media outlets that employ them be subject to fines? Will an incident have to result in death before something is done? It’s all completely out of control. I remember when they filmed Twilight and a few fans showed up and MTV did their spots up there. That was manageable. That was nice. Now, they can’t go out to dinner or even just go for a walk without being hounded by the bottom-feaders. And I don’t think real fans of Rob or Kristen want that for them. Not by a long shot. I say charge the paparazzi under stalker laws, regulate them so their employers face fines.
You know, I don’t know why I don’t hear this brought up more often, but maybe the reason that Rob and Kristen aren’t discussing the nature of their relationship is because they are not totally sure THEMSELVES where it is. A lot of times in a new relationship you don’t want to immediately let the cat out of the bag until you are sure of what you are putting out there. Kristen has just come out of a long-term relationship… I don’t think she wants to have to worry about rebound relationships or taking a wrong step, so I think she may be trying to take it slow. Maybe they both want to give any potential relationship time to nurture and grow before putting it on public record. I am sure they are both acutely aware of what a public breakup might do to the fans, the studio, their careers, etc. I don’t blame them for being allusive about it!
I love these two as much as the next Twilight fan (well, I would certainly never jump out and grab either one of them, THOSE fans just need to chill out!) but I really want them to be able to work and LIVE in the most professional and respectful way possible. So Twifans, if you do care about Rob & Kristen privacy PLEASE make sure NOT to buy the rags that gossip about them… and, even though this may be hard for me and other fans, perhaps start boycotting the sites that post every pic and story they can dredge up. I like to read about these two, but mostly when it’s in THEIR words at THEIR consent. I’d rather see them happy than know about what they are doing every second, or whether they are or aren’t a couple. Rob & Kristen have already been evading red carpets, interviews, etc. in hopes of cooling down the media frenzy. We, as fans, should also try to help in this small way. Hopefully, if I am good, you WILL NOT hear from me on these boards again!
Oh suuuuuure ‘agrl4god80′…….why I remember when ‘Brangelina,’ came ‘OUT’ way back in 2005, that stopped their tabloid/papz problem COLD……((((NOT!!!!))))).
It’s almost 5 years later, and you STILL cannot go a week, (a single week!!), without seeing Brad & Angelina in the rags, and chased down (with kids in tow) shopping for pampers and fresh produce. Get a clue.
Where some clueless people are getting this notion that all they need to do is ‘come out,’ and all this goes away, I have no idea. Rob & Kristen aren’t the first celebrity couple, we do have more than a few examples of people who have been rumored to be dating or together, and then come out to gauge by. Interest does not wane or go away. Besides, Robert & Kristen, much like Brad & Angelina are being very obvious and staying at each other’s hotels, being in the same room, going to concerts, going out just the two of them, leaving huge events as a couple in the same limo, being at concerts holding hands, him going out with his UK pals with her in tow, the two of them hanging around each other’s parents, etc. There’s really nothing to ‘catch,’ them at, it’s OBVIOUS to even Ray Charles, that they’re together, unless you want a sex tape. So to those who say just come out, or just kiss on the street and end this (as if kissing inside a concert with tens of thousands watching weren’t obvious enough) – you’re being ridiculous. The papz will be satiated right up until the possibility exists for them to get yet another shot, which will be ‘ALWAYS,’ or as long as they’re together.
The best way for this to die down is for fans and blogs (that’s YOU gossipcop) to stop being just as rabid dog as the papz about these two. Chill with the insane coverage, stop using them to score hits and get name recognition Gossipcop.
Who’s running this outfit anyway? Does Dan Abrams approve of you buying footage from Canadian papz who are chasing these kids down like dogs in the street (one of whom is only a teen)?? If so, he needs to be questioned about that in his next interview promoting this site, ‘Why a site that set out to be an arbiter of honesty and truth and fact-finding, is paying the lowest life form in show business (paparazzi) for their celebrity chasing videos, thereby giving them the wherewithal to endanger, chase and hound yet another day?!’
You need to address THAT issue. The fans and readership are more than aware you have done this, and I just find it odd indeed, that you don’t /didn’t address it in your column/on your site.

Do you think the PAPZ knowing that there’s MORE DEMAND, and even MORE outlets willing to pay for this footage will make them stop what they’re doing, or ramp it up even MORE??
SUPPLY and DEMAND. We’re sure the simple tenets of that concept are not lost on you. You are DEMANDING this kind of video for your site, and the papz who are more than aware that you will pay for it, and feature it on your website, are going out and doing whatever they need to do to get such footage for you and others, including chasing two young people at breakneck speed therough Vancouver, right up to the elevator door of their hotel.

Cleo – I’m not going to say much because I think that you are being rude…as if I or no one else’s opinion is right or counts. If you actually read what I said….I said that the paps will never leave them alone. So…why start an argument with me? Second, if you stick a piece of meat in front of tiger and then run, the tiger is going to maul you to get the meat. If they just throw the meat at the tiger (or a more respectible and tame tiger), then the tiger will eat the meat and stop following. It’s just the facts of life. When you’re so open one minute with your life and then become so closed off and almost rude the next….then you’re going to get the tigers. If you stay true to yourself, the tigers have nothing to go after. In saying that…I absolutely hate the paps and don’t support any magazine or article with the junk they put. If they run (or not), if they speak up (or not), if they are together (or not), of they decided to ‘be exposed’ that night (or not), if they *insert-here-whatever-thing-you-want* (or not)… IT IS THEIR VERY OWN LIFE NO ONE SHOULD CARE ABOUT!
But it’s a fact that by nature people are curious… some go farther that others, some voice their opinions louder that others, some do things others wouldn’t… I think it’s all about tolerance, and not pick up on things and stirring them up… and that’s all I’m going to say about that…
I just think paps would “calm down” if people stop searching (ie, no hits on their pages) for anything that has to do with this… however, there are people who still want to know each single detail about them, whether they want one option or the other… they’ll just keep searching… and also “new” people would like to find info… so, some hits will be there… I just do my share and do not watch videos or pics with paps precedence… only the “official” ones from magazines (tho, some tabloid covers -only- still pick me up… to see how they make fools of themselves), interviews and that stuff… the least I can do, right?
Me, I just think the subject is plain boring right now… it’s always the same thing, and it’s getting so predictable… really plain boring… always the same arguments, and always the same story…
Why reading so much into a video? isn’t it the same with each single pic and so… ? I even think their privacy has been violated even worst before, right?

O.k so i watched the video and they are not fighting with each other. a women asks for an autograph he says SORRY GUYS! and kristens says “can you just wait” and the women says OK or something. they are not fighting and I really doubt they are going out

Yes winterbird. I heard the same thing as you. I put my headphone on and listened. They are NOT fighting or arguing at all. Obviously, an uncared and inattentive fan only wanted to get an autograph during the papz chasing thing. I don’t know what the hec* was she thinking….. with all the commotion and camera flash…..how come she didn’t realize…. but still asking for autograph.
But the disgusting thing is that no sites tries to explain what really happened on the tape. They just keep us lingering and guessing to sell news. They did even make up the whole ‘arguing’ thing to stirring thing up. Gossip Cop also has dirty hand on this by posting the video. Every twilight sites all led to this site to what the video. Shame on you Gossip Cop.
The REAL problem with all the photogs is the nutcase fans of these people, if the twilight crazies werent so obsessed and could control themselves from hunting down and looking at every photo of these two people that Exists, then those greedy,pushy, stalker paparazzi wouldnt HAVE a reason to follow them at ALL!!

Of course Rob & Kristen aren’t obligated to do anything other than their jobs (and that goes for what they do in their personal time – Summit has no say – morals clauses went by the wayside a long time ago).
However, by choosing to go in the main entrance to the hotel (together!), they deliberately chose the most public way to enter their hotel. And, lo and hehold, the public was there. The public included a bunch of agressive paps. How surprising. They had a choice, and they chose not to use the much more discreet entrance available to them through the parking garage. There are also a couple of other street entrances to the hotel that don’t involve the MAIN ENTRANCE.
While interest in them is going to remain high, there are ways to mitigate it somewhat. They didn’t choose that way on this night. They came in the front entrance to the hotel together.
As I said, they’re also doing the ‘dance of the seven veils” with the nature of their relationship. And the paps are trying desperately to get that first photo of PDA. If they did come out, would interest in them disappear? No, of course not, but it would not involve the desperate hunt for that first photo.
do they owe us a comment on their relationship? No. But keeping it some kind of half-*ssed secret is silly and makes the hunt for photos of them kissing or holding hands more intense.
As you said, this is their choice and they don’t owe us anything. I think they’re just making some curious choices.
And speaking of the “dance of the seven veils”, GossipCop is full of it regarding why they posted that video. You folks are just playing the supply and demand game. There is a huge demand for photos and video of Robsten and you’re helping supply it. Please don’t get all moralistic about how you just care so much for their safety and privacy that you just HAVE to post this video which has already got about 1/4 of a MILLION hits. LOL!

This is not a brand new relationship. They’ve been together at least since the Twilight premiere in Japan (Feb.) right before NM filming started. Yes, Kristen was photographed with her then-ex Michael A. Cute, fakey photo op set up for local Vancity paps. Why MA agreed to particpate in this farce, I have no idea. Obviously, the man has very little self esteem.
By the first week in May, Kristen had moved into Rob’s hotel (Sheraton Wall Centre) from her hotel (Sutton Place). That was a couple of days after the last fakey photo op with oregano on the streets of vancity. Both before and after the move, she was out in groups and alone with Rob. Constantly. Rob was at her b-day party, not oregano. She was not seen without Rob except for the couple of fakey photo ops with her ex designed to take the heat off of the interest in her and Rob.
They are in a relationship and have been for about at least eight months. While they may have no idea if it’s going to be long term or not, it IS an exclusive relationship and there’s nothing tentative about it. What they don’t seem to have a handle on is whether or not they want to be open about it. So you have this kind of schizo behavior WRT handling public scrutiny of them out in public. Sometimes they’re careful, and sometimes they’re not at all careful (and private) as they could be. This video is of a time when they were not nearly as private as they could have been – with unsurprising results.

From the beginning this madness was caused by the fans in the US and Canada. The photogs wouldn’t be chasing the actors around in this way if it weren’t for the insane fanbase and morons like Ted C and his Robsten creation. Since it is so bad in the US and Canada Rob really needs to leave as soon as he can and return to the UK. Most people over here barely know the books and probably wouldn’t know who Rob was if they tripped over him in the street because his face isn’t plastered on covers of rubbish mags like it is in the US. He should tell Summit to stick BD up their b-m and come back here to rest. Then head to NZ for Unbound Captives (please not New Mexico or this horror will start again) and then to France to make Bel Ami. That will take a few months and they’ll find someone else to stalk, especially if he skips BD. Where that would leave his relationship with KS I don’t know but unless she wants to give up her life and career in the US and be with him, they haven’t any chance of being left in peace in the US. It could only end badly. Perhaps nutty Auntie Diana wasn’t so crazy when she said they would never be given any peace in the US if they were a couple.
