What a difference a week makes.

Last week the National Enquirer reported that New York party promoter Rachel Uchitel had had an affair with Tiger Woods.

At first, she denied it.

Then Gossip Cop confronted her with the news that multiple sources had told us she had not only discussed an alleged relationship with Woods, but also that “she was bragging about it.”

Gossip Cop texted Uchitel about the allegations we had heard from several independent sources. Uchitel’s response? “Of course people will say that.”

We then asked for a comment. She responded “no.” When we pressed Uchitel to explain whether she meant “no,” as in “no comment” or “no,” as in she never told people they had a relationship, Uchitel replied, “No, as in no comment.”

And when we further questioned, “Why no comment if everything is on the up and up?” she stopped communication.

Well, after other women who claimed to have cheated with Woods came forward, Uchitel scheduled a press conference for today – but then canceled it, prompting a new round of speculation.

It’s rumored she’s being offered a seven-figure deal to stay quiet. At this point, do you think it would be worth it for Woods to buy Uchitel’s silence? Or is his reputation already too tattered?
