I really like Tyler Perry but I don’t see him as Alex Cross. I’m sure he’ll do a good job but I just don’t see him as a detective. I never liked Morgan Freeman as Cross because he was far too old. There are so many young Black actors who could play Cross so I don’t understand this casting. But, it’s Hollywood so I won’t even try to understand it.

Tyler Perry would be absolutely great as Alex Cross. I never liked or understood why Morgan Freeman played him. Ving Rhames should have played him back then or at least Alex best friend. I think Mr. Perry will bring a refreshing image to Mr. Cross character. He will redeem the image of Alex Cross as portrayed in the book. Mr. Perry fits the physical, the sexiness, the swagger aspect of the character. Mr. Perry is not just a funny man. He has many layers to his talent. For those who have any doubt if he can play the part, just wait and see. I know he will do an exceptional job. He will also expose a new group of readers to one of my favorite authors, Mr. Patterson. I have always been a fan of his work as well as Mr. Perry. I would love to be an extra in that movie. I hope the producers and directors do this movie the justice it deserve. Kiss the Girls movie was so different than the book. I can’t wait to see it!!

Morgan Freeman is the best Alex Cross…..Morgan Freeman IS Alex Cross….Tyler Perry will never be able to play that part as good or live up to the expectations of the millions of viewers who love Morgan Freeman as this character!!!!
