Tyler Dickerson “The Voice” Audition Video: Country Singer Cries At Emotional Comeback — WATCH HERE!
Tyler Dickerson provided the most emotional moment on “The Voice” on Monday. Watch below!
The 21-year-old Dickerson explained that he moved to Nashville at 13 and signed a record deal with John Rich as his manager, only for the label to close things down mid-tour. Now working for his dad’s fencing company, the contestant saw “The Voice” as his “second shot.” His take on The Black Crowes’ “Hard to Handle” led Blake Shelton to hit his button rather early on.
No one else pushed, with Pharrell later saying he really didn’t think he had a chance against Shelton, who was amazed that he scored Dickerson right off the bat. “What in the hell is wrong with all of you?” Shelton exclaimed to his fellow coaches. Amazingly, the country superstar then realized he recognized Dickerson from his Nashville days, noting how he was said to be the “next Travis Tritt.”
Dickerson became emotional as he recounted his failed journey, as well as a car accident. “I had it all and it was all taken away. But now I’m here, and this is my second chance,” he cried, leading Pharrell to give him a standing ovation. Check out the video below!
