Tyga Denies Inappropriate Texting With Teenage Model Molly O’Malia
Tyga isn’t denying talking to 14-year-old model Molly O’Malia, but the rapper claims he only contacted her to discuss a possible music career. New text messages also reportedly show that the aspiring teen singer may have lied about her age.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, O’Malia’s family retained Gloria Allred to address a story published by in mid-December by OK! that suggested she and Tyga had an inappropriate relationship. On Monday, O’Malia and Allred held a press conference to deny the tabloid’s false claim that the teen found the attention from Tyga to be “exciting,” insisting instead she became uncomfortable when he began incessantly texting her. O’Malia also noted Tyga asked her to Facetime on three different occasions, and that she ultimately ended their communication after he requested to meet her in person.
Tyga’s manager, Anthony Martini, confirmed the rapper initially reached out to O’Malia because he thought she might be suited for a project on his label, Last Kings Records. However, Tyga’s rep categorically denied the discussions ever went beyond business. Martini claims Tyga’s proposed Facetime chats were simply to hear her sing while other producers were in the studio. New text messages have also reportedly surfaced that show O’Malia said she was 17 years old.
Allred has not mentioned any proposed lawsuit on behalf of Molly O’Malia’s family in connection with the inaccurate claims by OK!
