American Idol Results April 29 2015

“American Idol” is down to the Final Four! The FOX competition revealed the Top 4 for season 14 on Wednesday’s live show. Find out the results here!

As Gossip Cop has reported, the series had a reworked format that season that combined performances and eliminations into one jam-packed episode per week. For the last few installments, the contestants who received enough votes after the previous week’s show were deemed safe, while the Bottom Two vote-getters had to compete for the fan save in order to survive another week. But last week was the last time the Twitter save was in effect, with Rayvon Owen winning it for the fourth time in a row.

So, what did that mean for this week? Well, for one thing, in order to make it into the Top 4, Owen had to have received enough votes for last week’s routines, as he couldn’t be redeemed again at the last minute again. Clark Beckham, however, was the first to be declared safe, followed by Jax, and then Nick Fradiani. That meant Owen was once again in the Bottom Two, this time along with Tyanna Jones.

But instead of letting everyone perform their prepared songs before revealing who was getting the boot, the elimination actually came not even halfway through the two-hour episode. And Jones was surprisingly the one sent home. Owen made it through AGAIN. Video of Jones’ farewell performance is below.

After she was eliminated, the show continued with Owen, Fradiani, Jax and Beckham competing in two rounds of performances. The votes cast afterward will determine next week’s Top 3. What do you think of tonight’s results, and who are you rooting for?
