“Twilight” Leaving Netflix In October: Last Chance To Watch Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Movie!
Twilight is leaving Netflix on October 1, meaning you only have until Thursday to watch the supernatural love story starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart before the film will no longer be available on the streaming service.
Twilight, of course, was a massive sleeper hit when it was released in 2008 and ended up launching a blockbuster franchise that catapulted Pattinson and Stewart into superstars. Stewart stars as Bella Swan, a teenage outcast who meets and falls in love with the handsome and mysterious Edward Cullen (Pattinson), who just so happens to be a vampire. Based on the Twilight Saga series by Stephenie Meyer, there were five movies in all.
Although you’ll no longer be able to watch Twilight on Netflix come Thursday, as Gossip Cop has reported, the original book will be re-released with bonus content next month to mark the novel’s 10th anniversary. The first installment of Meyer’s Twilight Saga was published on October 5, 2005, and now a new printing of the novel featuring never-before-seen content will hit shelves On October 6, 2015. To promote the re-release, Meyer will host a series of book signings around the country, as well as take part in New York Comic-Con.
For all you vampire lovers, it should also be noted that Interview with the Vampire is leaving Netflix on October 1, too, so it’s also your last chance to see Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as immortal bloodsuckers. Luckily, however, season 6 of “The Vampire Diaries” begins streaming on October 2, so you’ll still be able to get your blood thirst quenched whenever you need it. Tell Gossip Cop if you plan on watching Twilight before it leaves Netflix on October 1!
