Magazine Tries to Start Twilight vs. Hunger Games Cast Feud

Well, we saw this coming.

As everyone knows, The Hunger Games is about to hit theaters, based on a best-selling series of young adult novels.

The Twilight Saga is also based on a best-selling series of young adult novels.

Therefore, the tabloids argue, the casts must hate each other!

“It’s War,” announces the new OK! magazine, which claims “the insults are flying in a star-studded smackdown” between Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence, and between Robert Pattinson and Liam Hemsworth.

Um, really?

According to so-called “sources” for the tab, Lawrence calls Stewart “snooty” and has been “talking smack.”

A so-called friend of Lawrence allegedly explains, “It’s like part of Jennifer really wants to overthrow Kristen as Hollywood’s young darling.”

“She’s more motivated now that their feud is pretty much out in the open,” the Lawrence “pal” tells OK!

For her part, says the tabloid, Stewart has acted “like a good little vampire… biting into Jennifer’s looks, branding her ‘plain.’”

Meanwhile, an “insider” claims things between Hemsworth and Pattinson are bad “behind the scenes.”

“Liam feels like Rob should move over and make room for him,” explains the OK! source. “But Rob feels Liam is just this silly, brawny ‘himbo.’ And Liam thinks all Rob can do is portray a sickly looking vampire and that there’s more room in Hollywood for the handsome hunk type.”

Uh-huh.

Here’s what’s really going on.

OK! is desperate for there to be a fight among the highly visible stars of two blockbuster film franchises, and since that doesn’t seem to be happening, the tabloid is nudging along a “war” based on phony quotes and fabricated jealousies.

Gossip Cop has contacted sources connected with the quartet of actors, and none of them supported the OK! story about back-and-forth sniping.

The only “feud” here is the one the media is trying to create.

    WTF is wrong with people? The Twilight Saga and Hunger Games are nothing alike, so why would anyone be talking smack? The Twilight Sagas success and box office speaks for itself so why would anyone be jealous? Kristen is promoting 2 very anticipated movies, so I don’t think she is too worried about being replaced by anyone. I don’t think Kristen or Jennifer would stoop to that kind of level of talking bad about each other. Can Kristen not have one day of peace and not be plastered on all the mags and sites for what amounts to total bullshit????

    I don’t think that Kristen would stoop to that level either, but you have to realize as long as
    she is in the public eye, things like this will be printed and talked about.

    All you have to do is look at the source. OK! never gets anything right. They’ve had Rob and KS engaged and married several times. It’s all lies, they just make things up. They could have told the truth, which is that Jennifer Lawrence greatly admires Rob Pattinson, she’s said so on video.

    Liam is a himbo, but I doubt that Rob cares one way or the other. They aren’t in competition for the same roles, and THG isn’t going to break Liam out the way it did for Rob, Liam’s not the lead role and he doesn’t get the girl. THG is going to do for Jennifer what it did for Rob. I hope they can work together soon, they’d make a beautiful couple.

    I have a feeling that actually, Kristen and Jennifer would probably get along great- as well as their boyfriends. They both come across as very grounded, pretty cool young women who have good heads on their shoulders. Neither seems to buy into the whole “celebrity” idea and that is refreshing. And their BFs are both English – so that is a cool connection.

    biggest bullshit story ever!!!! the two movies are totally different plus twilight is almost over and THG are just starting!!! the actors are totally different and all of them talented.. They also seem mature. I mean what kind of child would start a fight over a spot in hollywood… these magazines really dont know what else to print! and I feel bad for the ppl that buy them and fall for their lies!

    lol. look at pics of rob and kristen from twilight, and then look at pics of jennifer and liam. rob and kristens chemistry was red hot from the start, and that is what made twilight. they are trying way to hard to push the hunger games as the next twilight.

    i’m happy never reading such “paper” and i think young actors are just interested in new roles. And as a watcher i’m enjoying every new good film – young – old – middle age – what ever good actors. Just hoping the actors earn more money than the tabloids o:)

    A lot of twilight fans are interested in the Hunger Games. I’m Twilight Fan and I don’t know the Hunger Games books, but I will watch the movie and hopefuly have time to read the books. War between fans is also made up by tabloids, it sells…

    I saw the clip featuring jennifer lawrence and she seems blank. If there is no chemistry between her and whoever her love interest is then I dont see the comparison to twilight at all. the first twilight cost little to make and rob burned up the screen. I am assuming that THG cost plenty to film but if that special something doesnt translate from the book to the movie maybe the fans wont care because they loved the books so much. anyhow to me twilight was the best.

    Ridiculous. The tabs will always pit people against each other though and movies against each other. None of these actors/actresses seem like drama queens that this tab is making them out to be. Although, this may be bitchy of me, but I don’t find Jennifer Lawrence that attractive…so I kind of agree with the tabloid calling her plain. She has great hair and a fantastic body but her face has literally no definition…The girl has no cheek bones, whatsoever, and tiny eyes. She looked like a completely different person in that pic with her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult…I think she is one of those girls who look way, way better with makeup to add definition to their face….Anyway, Jennifer Lawrence is a fantastic actress but I have always been puzzled with all the people/mags calling her gorgeous.

    Twilight Saga= poverty of style, anemic history, ridiculous characters, boring, passive, and irritating heroine, just shit.

    Because people think Rob deserves better and would be happy to see him with anyone else. Face it, a lot of people don’t like her. She has an abrasive personality. And no, I’m not jealous, there’s nothing to be jealous of, I’m never gonna date Rob. I’d just like to see him with someone more in his class. I think when he finally gets around to getting married he’ll choose a British girl.

    Showing your ignorance, Bubby. Both series are young adult fiction, they aim for the teen market, they’re both PG-13, they have a lot in common. The difference is that THG has a leading female part that girls can look up to instead of one that’s just concerned with getting in some guy’s pants. Bella was obsessed with having sex with Edward, and that’s the last thing on Katniss’s mind, she’s got more important things to deal with.

    You think Jennifer enjoys constantly being asked about Kristen? Can’t she do an interview without someone bringing up Twilight? I guess she can be happy that’s she’s getting excellent reviews for THG, something none of the Twilight movies ever got. After this weekend everyone is going to be talking about the new queen of the teen franchise, and that’s Jennifer.

    Totally, dude. THG has it all over Twilight. THG is about something, not just a girl acting stupid over a vampire. And Jennifer Lawrence is a fantastic actress who already has an Oscar nomination. She’s going to be the biggest actress of the year, I’ll bet she wins the MTV Awards, etc. Her winning personality makes her so much easier to like.

    The tabloid “war” is very unfair for KRISTEN STEWART! They are using KRISTEN STEWART as object of comparison to Jennifer Lawrence. We all knew that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson rose to fame in TWILIGHT movie without using anybody! They even commented that Kristen Stewart is an actress without emotion! Then why compare Jennifer Lawrence to KRISTEN STEWART? Why not use other actresses as object of comparison? It’s very obvious that they are using KRISTEN STEWART because she’s the GOLD STANDARD and undeniably the most popular amongst the new generation hollywood actresses! The trick is just so dirty! so disgusting!

    You’re right, there’s no comparison between THG and Twilight, THG is better in almost every way. Jennifer is a better actress, the plot is actually about something, not just a girl chasing a vampire, the reviews are 10 times better, THG has broken Breaking Dawn’s records already, and Jennifer is the new hot commodity. Too bad none of her co-stars in THG is as hot as Rob, the only person who made watching the Twi films worthwhile.

    twilight first of its kind thg should have been compared with transformers,children fighting for food was this set in america THG, is just that a game, should have went straight to dvd as a game for X-Box or something. twilight base on the frail truth of YOUNG love and the decisions that are made, I have been around a while and I truly apreciate rob and kristin, for doing such great job with bella and edward, they truly played them accordingly; I love them, WOW
