Tupac Shakur Hologram Performs at Coachella (VIDEO)

Sunday night’s Coachella closer was Snoop Dogg, and the rap icon’s set featured a host of big names, including Dr. Dre, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa and 50 Cent.

But the evening’s most talked-about moment came courtesy of Tupac Shakur.

A hologram of the late rapper (who died in 1996) hit the stage for a posthumous performance that dropped jaws and led social media to nearly melt down.

“What the f**k is up, Coachella?” yelled “Tupac,” before performing side-by-side with Snoop.

Most observers reacted to the stunt with awe, calling it an amazing tribute. Others found the moment too creepy.

    It isn’t creepy at all, as a huge tupac fan it’s so amazing to see a performance of him. And i know those who were born after his tragic death would understand and appreciate this!

    Creepy is seeing Princess Diana at age 50 on the cover of Newsweek. This is amazing. It embodies everything Tupac fans like myself feel was robbed from us.

    I think I know how they did it. I think it was digital rendering. Look closely. It kinda looks like a really good virtual character. Kinda like a good Second Life avatar. I’m not a gamer (bc I find video games boring) but I’ve heard of it. I they probably looked at old footage of him and created theTupac avatar to dance and move like him and added in the audio from old performance(s). But the thing that got me was when he said “What the f is up, Coachella!?” I was thinking either impersonator or a splice/mashup of words he’s said before. Like coach and umbr(ella). Idk.     After the 2nd Coachella this weekend the “secret” will be revealed so if I’m right, I’m sorry I spoiled it.
