TSoul “The Voice” Audition Video: Watch “Take Me To The River” Performance
TSoul wowed Adam Levine and Blake Shelton during “The Voice” Blind Auditions on Monday. Check out the video below!
Prior to his turn on stage, the 29-year-old revealed his given first name is actually Terry. “Soul is just what I’ve heard all my life. People always told me, ‘You have a soulful voice,'” he explained, which is what led him to combine the “T” in “Terry” with “soul.” The aspiring star, who also admitted Alicia Keys’ “Fallin'” was the first song he learned to play on piano, said he was “hoping ‘The Voice’ can change my life and allow me to be TSoul for the rest of my life.”
But it was Levine and Shelton who turned around. And the former was particularly relieved that Keys didn’t hit her button. “I’m like, if she turns, it’s over. But if she doesn’t, he’s mine,” Levine confessed. He went on to tell TSoul, “You are a special man, because the way you do it is extremely unique to you and that’s the kind of person who can win this ting.”
Shelton also praised, “Your voice is like a 50-year-old. It’s got all of the herbs and spices. You’re one of a kind, man.” And to everyone’s surprise, TSoul chose to join Team Blake! Keys amusingly tweeted during the broadcast, “This lovers quarrel between @AdamLevine & @BlakeShelton over @TSoulMusic is too real!!”
Shelton also taunted, “HAHAHA Wait, @adamlevine did you see that?? Sorry TSoul didn’t pick you buddy! You’ll get him next time… #youprobablywont.” Watch below to see how it all went down.
