Jonah Hill and James Franco Reportedly Team Up for True Story
3:31 pm, February 27th, 2012
Jonah Hill and James Franco are reportedly teaming up for True Story, to be produced by Hill’s Moneyball buddy Brad Pitt.
Based on a memoir by journalist Michael Finkel, the project tells the stranger-than-fiction true story of Finkel (Hill) discovering that an alleged murderer named Christian Longo (Franco) had been pretending to be him.
After his capture, Longo announced he’d only be interviewed by Finkel, who coincidentally had just been fired.
Pitt’s Plan B production company is slated to back the film.
Deadline was first to report the True Story casting news.
Hill and Pitt were both nominated for Academy Awards for their acting work in Moneyball, although neither took home a gold statue on Sunday.
