Comedy Central released the first promo for Trevor Noah’s debut as the new host of “The Daily Show” on Thursday, and announced he’ll take the reins from Jon Stewart on September 28. In the clip, Noah is seen hilariously goofing around the host’s chair. Noah is also shown rehearsing saying the show’s name. See the video below.

“Welcome to the ‘Daily Show’!” Noah exclaims. “I am the ‘Daily Show’!” The comedian then does a number of odd things around the host’s chair, including twerking and getting a little frisky on the set. He also practices a few high kicks. “Oh wow, that’s a nice chair,” a self-satisfied Noah said, before realizing Stewart was standing right behind him.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Noah was announced as Stewart’s replacement in March. Stewart, who has hosted the “Daily Show” since 1999, will take his final bow on August 6. Noah was embroiled in a controversy shortly after being named the show’s host when unsavory tweets he had made about Jews and women were unearthed. The network stood behind Noah, saying, “Trevor is a talented comedian with a bright future at Comedy Central.”
