The Voice Top 3 Finalists Revealed After Elimination Shocker!

(NBC)

“The Voice” is officially down to the final three.

After stellar performances from the Top 4 on Monday that spurred record-breaking voting, the contestants faced a heartbreaking elimination on Tuesday.

So, which singer was the unfortunate one to be sent home?

Trevin Hunte (from Cee Lo Green’s team) was surprisingly eliminated.

Next week, Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope (from Blake Shelton’s team) will compete against Nicholas David (from Green’s team) in the season finale.

What do you think of the Top 3, and who will you root for?

YAY!!!! didn’t think he was as talented as the other three! GO BLAKE!!!

I’m shocked that someone as talented as Trevin Hunte was eliminated tonight.Despite last night not being his best performance. He’s only 18 and has more upside that anyone on the voice. That’s what happens when you have the public with the final say

  • dannehlicious

I really liked Trevin, it’s too bad he had to go. I wanted him to win. But now, out of the three, I think I’m gunning for Cassadee

  • Lori

Why does GC say every elimination is a “Shocker!”? Someone has to go home and Trevin wasn’t the best last night. No shock there. Would it have been somehow less shocking if one of the other three went home? Most overused words in celebrity gossip: shocker, stunning, Kardashian, jail…

  • Diane Smith

I was pretty bummed to see Trevin Hunte get eliminated tonight, I loved his soulful and warm voice. I liked his voice far better than the two other male contestants; Terry and Nicholas. I’m hoping Cassadee wins this competition of those who are still left. This episode will give me and my DISH coworker plenty to talk about at work tomorrow. I’m glad I recorded it on my DISH Hopper with the PrimeTime Anytime feature. I like to set this up to record all prime time programming that comes on the four major networks, without having to set up any individual
timers. This saves me a ton of time. I can’t wait to see next what happens next week!

Nobody wants your damn hopper. Give it a rest!

Trevin was the best just not as trained…….. He wins anyway because Christina said she is going to take him under her wings and he will go on tour with her. He is lucky lucky lucky!!!!!

  • Bob smith

Who says she’ll keep her word. She was a really big bitch to the guy who knew her from childhood and has constant mood swings so she could change her mind. Don’t take her word on anything if you are wise.

Uh what’s with the Dish plug? You sounded credible until you started that tactless plug.

  • http://www.facebook.com/exclusivelyyours09 Jessica Weissenburger

Pfft I wouldn’t say he’s lucky at all. Christina’s idea of a good show revolves entirely around set it seems. She was a total bitch to Melanie toward the end where all she ever did was comment that she liked the stage setup. My guess is if she takes Trevin on tour with her that he’ll wind up with over the top stages with an overabundance of dancers. Christina’s not the right fit for him — he’d be better of touring with Mariah or Beyonce.

Guess you don’t know what true talent is then. Of the final four, I would say Trevin & Nicholas were the only ones who have true, unique talent. You can find another Cassadee anywhere and while I see her having at least one successful album I don’t see her being a real superstar like everyone’s making her out to be. Terry’s a great talent, but honestly I suspect the only reason he’s truly made it this far is because people fancy his accent.

Of all the eliminations, Trevin’s was the most shocking. I honestly thought he would have won this since the previous winners had similar voices, though I believe Trevin’s a hell of a lot more talented than the first two winners. It seems unfair to me that Cassadee is even on the show since she already had a big fan base before she even auditioned. It’s actually sad that she’s pretty much stolen this opportunity from the other contestants who have yet to really shine. It seems that this happens every season — some people who are already on the radar are auditioning and getting into the finals while other people who are just getting their foot in the door are eliminated early on.

I agree with the message below. No “shocker” here. Trevin was not the best performer of Monday night. Until his performance last week, I wasn’t confident he shouldn’t have gone home weeks ago. The only shocker The Voice could have anymore this season is if Cassadee doesn’t win. She’s consistently performed and topped the charts all season. For her to lose now would be a “shocker”.

  • LAF

She was rude to Melanie… “Oh you are so lucky! What’s great set. Nice song.”

  • tom

None of these elimination are ever really shockers. You headlines are always over the top.

so glad Trevin is gone. his voice is so run of the mill church sounding. now lets get rid of cassadee . her voice sounds the same on everything and does not have the warmth or debth of nick. she is so marketable tho. look at most pop music. so….would not be shocking. terry doesn’t. have great stage appeal but gotta love his voice. its nick or terry!!!!!

I think, as Nicholas said to him, If Trevin is this good now, think of where he’ll be in 10 years and so on….Trevin I think was the best choice to send home. He didn’t do as well and well, there are other “Trevin” singers out there as well, many of them. He’s gonna be picked up if he’s not already. No worries there. Nicholas I’ve liked since the first time I seen him on stage. I was so glad he was picked because he’s unique. That’s the greatness of the voice. People are picked on talent not on looks or salivating judges, (Simon Cowell) whenever a pretty girl with boobs comes for audition and can’t sing. I guess they need that type in order to have someone to toss.

Cassadee, she’s got an amazing, natural voice. She’ll do more than one album and she can sing any genre. That’s what makes her unique. The next Carrie Underwood I’m thinking.

Terry, he’s a true old rocker. He doesn’t sing with his accent. LOL
He also has a natural voice. People are getting tired of the riffs, the runs, the excrutiating high notes, although Dream On was AWESOME! Oooops I digressed.

I think the choices were spot on!

Nicholas or Terry for the battle of The Voice…. :)

Unfortunately, the show isn’t just about talent, but about consistency with that talent as well. While Trevin has an amazing voice, he wasn’t consistent with his performances. I’m excited about the final 3. They’re all AMAZING!!!
