Trent Harmon “Falling” ‘American Idol’ Finale Video: Watch All Top 2 Performances!
Trent Harmon gave his best “American Idol” performances ever on Wednesday’s part one of the finale. Check out the videos below!
During three rounds of competition, Harmon faced off against La’Porsha Renae. He first took the stage to sing his possible winner’s single, “Falling.” The song was co-written by Urban, perhaps giving him a bit of an edge.
Harmon next performed “If You Don’t Know Me By Now,” which was chosen for him by “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller. Urban said afterward, “”Such a good song for you. People are going crazy for you!”
He added, “You’re giving [Renae] a run for her money like I’ve never seen.” Jennifer Lopez agreed, saying, “With every performance, you’re showing you’re not going to go laying down.” That said, Renae went on to get praise for her second-round performance, too, and Lopez even said she won that face-off.
In the third round, Harmon reprised his performance of Sia’s “Chandelier.” Connick exclaimed after, “Wow, it’s loud in here! Take a deep breath after that one!” He went on to tell the finalist as the crowd continued to cheer, “You should be very proud of that. We have two great singers left, and if you were going to do anything to make this the hardest decision in the history of ‘American Idol,’ you probably just did it.”
Urban said, “For some people you probably just made it a really easy decision.” Lopez added, “You could not have sung that more beautifully… You deserve to win, you do!” Watch all three performances below!
