Transformers: Age of Extinction had an enormous opening weekend — hitting $100 million in its debut across an America hungry for giant robot fights.

The fourth film in the franchise, starring Mark Wahlberg, easily trounced its box office competition.

Last week’s chart-topper, 22 Jump Street, fell to second place with $15.4 million, just ahead of How to Train Your Dragon 2’s $13.1 million third place finish.

In the #4 spot was Think Like A Man Too with about $10.4 million.

Earning $8.2 million put Maleficent in fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 were Jersey Boys ($7.6 million), Edge of Tomorrow ($5.2 million), The Fault In Our Stars ($4.8 million), X-Men: Days of Future Past ($3.3 million), and Chef ($1.7 million).
