Transformers: Age of Extinction Tops Tammy For July 4th Weekend Win
Transformers: Age of Extinction is celebrating the long Fourth of July weekend with another victory at the box office.
The action spectacular earned $36.4 million in its second week.
That was enough to keep the top spot over Tammy; the new Melissa McCarthy comedy debuted in second place with $21.2 million.
Deliver Us From Evil narrowly nabbed third place with $9.5 million.
22 Jump Street and How to Train Your Dragon 2 came in fourth and fifth places with $9.4 million and $8.8 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Earth to Echo ($8.3 million), Maleficent ($6.1 million), Jersey Boys ($5.1 million), Think Like A Man Too ($4.9 million) and Edge of Tomorrow ($3.6 million).
