Tracy Morgan Is Really “Struggling” But “Fighting Hard” – WATCH VIDEO
Tracy Morgan’s lawyer Benedict Morelli says his client’s a “fighter,” but really “struggling.”
The attorney stopped by the “Today Show” on Monday to give an update on the actor’s condition and the lawsuit against Wal-Mart following the June car crash that left Morgan critically injured.
“He’s still struggling, but he’s a fighter,” Morelli said of Morgan. “He’s had issues before that he’s fought through and he’s fighting hard.”
The lawyer also discussed the inaccuracy of the rumors surrounding the comedian’s injuries, including the most recent report that he is doing well.
“None of those things are true or accurate,” Morelli noted.

The “30 Rock” star is suing Wal-Mart after it was revealed that the retail giant’s driver Kevin Roper had allegedly been awake for more than 24 hours and had fallen asleep at the wheel before plowing into Morgan’s limousine van on the New Jersey Turnpike.
According to the suit, “Wal-Mart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries.”
Morelli noted that Roper, who was charged in the multi-vehicle crash, had to drive 700 miles — even before his shift began — just to pick up the truck.
“He [Roper] works for Wal-Mart, and I am going to show if I have to in court that that’s the culture. That’s what they set up,” he explained. “They know. And by the way he isn’t the only driver who drives hundreds of miles to get to work. They have to make sure that this doesn’t happen [again].”
The attorney added, “There are 75 deaths a day from big-rigs. It’s been increasing.”
