Tracy Morgan “More Responsive” But Will Be Hospitalized For “Several Weeks” With Numerous Broken Bones
Tracy Morgan, who was involved in a multi-vehicle accident early Saturday morning that left him in critical condition and fellow comedian James McNair dead, is “more responsive,” but will remain in the hospital for “several weeks,” his rep tells Gossip Cop. On Sunday, Morgan underwent an operation on his leg — one of the many bones which were broken in the crash.
In a statement to Gossip Cop, Morgan’s rep says, “While Tracy remains in critical condition, he has been more responsive today, which is an incredibly encouraging sign.” “He sustained a number of injuries including a broken leg, a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. He had surgery earlier today on his leg,” says his spokesman.
His rep goes on to note, “We expect him to remain in the hospital for several weeks,” adding, “His family is tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”
Late on Saturday, Kevin Roper, the truck driver who’s been charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto for the deadly crash, turned himself in. Since news broke of the horrific crash, there has been an outpouring of love and support for Morgan. Gossip Cop is keeping Morgan and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
