Trace Adkins’ Wife Rhonda NOT Calling Off Divorce, Despite Claim
Trace Adkins’ wife, Rhonda, is NOT calling off their divorce, despite a new claim. Gossip Cop can bust this rumor, which started in one of the tabloid’s this week.
According to the National Enquirer, Rhonda filed paperwork to have her divorce to the country singer called off. The tabloid cites Rhonda’s mom, Jewell Forlaw, as saying that her daughter had a change of heart because of her “good old-fashioned family values.” Forlaw supposedly further told the tabloid that she believes in “till death do we part” and wants her daughter to tough it out.
However, Trace’s lawyer, Larry Hayes Jr., released a statement on Wednesday announcing the pair “settled their divorce amicably.” The statement from the lawyer continued, “Rhonda and Trace made this decision together in the best interest of their family. All that remains is for the court to approve the agreements that have been executed by them both. An updated petition seeking such Court approval will be filed in the coming days.”
The lawyer also addressed the claim that Rhonda was calling off the divorce, saying the rumors were “inaccurate.” Rhonda filed for divorce from Trace in March 2014, citing irreconcilable differences. More details from their divorce settlement are expected to be announced in the coming days, but what’s known now is that Rhonda and Trace have agreed to share custody of their three daughters and have worked out an agreement for the division of their property.
