Anyone else troubled that Guest seems to think there is something wrong with a child seeing his mother undressed? Seems perfectly normal (and healthy) for parents not to make a big deal about their bodies, otherwise they’re in danger of raising their children to be ashamed and embarassed about something that is completely natural.

Why is it inappropriate? Because some people in our society want to project a sexualised image of breasts onto a child at as staggeringly young an age as 5? It is a rather worringly ignorant attitude to suggest that there is somehow something negative about an innocent child not being made to feel secretive about natural body parts. Did you know that in many societies it is considered perfectly normal to breastfeed a child of Liam’s age?

What seems ‘inappropriate’ is the idea that breasts are something dirty that are to be hidden, when in fact, Tori’s breasts perform the miracle of feeding his baby sister, something that he should understand and be supportive of as he grows and perhaps one day becomes a father himself.

It’s not a big deal that kids see their moms breasts. Don’t “over-sexualize” something that is not harmful!

I think its entirely wrong that some people can only see breasts as sexual. Breasts are ment for babies to get their nutrients from. Tori has a young baby who would still be breast feeding so her boobs are probably seen alot around that house. There is nothing wrong with a child seeing their parent naked when there is nothing sexual happening. Are you also one of those people who hates to see women breast feeding? In my opinion that is much more unnatural for a parent to act is if their bodies are disgusting, then acting like a normal person and just explain to your child about body parts and what they are ment for. I guarantee you that you are much more damaged for seeing these breasts then any child in that house is.

I don’t think parents should get all crazy if their child walks in while they are nude, but I do think they should discreetly cover up. I do have a problem with this man taking a picture of his son while his wife is nude and then posting it and imo acting like he didn’t know she was in the picture.

There are doors on bedrooms for a reason. There are some things that a child should not be exposed to. A father should not leave his Playboy magazines around for his son to see. It doesn’t have anything to do with raising a child to be ashamed or embarrassed — it’s about respect.

Having breast implants doesn’t mean she cannot breast feed. If the implants were correctly inserted, she is still fully capable of producing milk and can certainly breast feed. However, it is not uncommon for women to forego breast feeding because, with many common breast enlargement procedures, a side effect is sensitive nipples, which makes breast feeding painful. So, unless you are her doctor and know which procedure was used during her breast enlargement surgery, then you actually do not know whether or not she breast feeds, making your statement irrelevant.

It has nothing to do with hating your body, or sending a message that insinuates being ashamed of your body or hating it. It’s about a young boy seeing his adult parent naked which in no way is necessary or appropriate. Just as it wouldn’t be ok for a dad to lay in bed with his penis out and his daughter sitting right next to him. She’s not getting out of the shower or breast feeding (there is no baby in the picture near her breasts), she’s just laying there naked. So when the boy is 10, 13, 16 should he still see his mom in bed naked and his sister see their dad with his penis flapping around? NO, there is no need for it.

At 5 years old, that boy has no idea what sexuality is or the meaning. All he knows is his mother is feeding his sister, grow up.

You do of course realize that you CAN breastfeed, even with infants? Tori has nursed both children in the past as well as supplemented with formula because she has stated she didn’t have a huge supply.

I wish people like you were around when I was breast feeding. My own mother told me never to “do that” out side the house. I felt very offend but at the same time the people around me had the same belief as my mother. BUT I know now; there is nothing wrong with breast feeding. <3
