Tori Spelling “Stabbed In The Back” By Jennie Garth, Falsely Claims Magazine
We investigated the new tabloid rumor, and it is completely off-base and made up.
The tale was first floated by In Touch, which wrongly alleges in its new issue that a rift has grown between the co-stars.
The magazine says Spelling was unhappy that Garth got her own HGTV home improvement show called, “The Jennie Garth Project.”
The tabloid quotes a so-called source as saying, Spelling is “envious” and even “bitter,” because she see herself more as a Martha Stewart type than Garth, and felt she should have been given her own home improvement show.
In Touch’s ill-informed tipster even says Spelling is annoyed that Garth used their ABC Family series “Mystery Girls” to get exposure for her new HGTV program.
The clueless magazine is acting like Garth’s series only just came into development, as if it was the result of “Mystery Girls.”
In actuality, “The Jennie Garth Project” was formally announced way back in February, when production on the ABC Family show was already underway.
Spelling knew about the series long before “Mystery Girls” even had a premiere date.
And if she was so upset about the show, as In Touch claims, why did she tweet on Tuesday about how “proud” she was of Garth, and tell everyone to watch? (See below.)
The only “back-stabbing” involved here is what the mag just did to its readers, yet again, with more misleading reporting.
Regardless, Gossip Cop still checked in a friend who’s close to both Garth and Spelling, and we’re exclusively told, “That’s the stupidest thing ever… Tori’s happy for Jennie… It’s just a lie.”
