It is possible Tori could be suffering from an epidural or spinal headache caused by leaking spinal fluid. They are worse standing up than lying down and can be excruciating. After my third child, I had a severe headache as well, had to go right back to the hospital through emergency. I had a spinal leak caused by the epidural. And you are correct if you lay down or any head movement they are worse. They can also be fatal, I went back to the hospital after three hrs of being release so I am great. But any woman who is planning to have an epidural, once you are release from the hospital and you have a severe headache. Go Back to the hospital ASAP!!!

You are absolutely right! Epidural headaches can be fatal because they stretch the blood vessels in the head which can cause bleeding on the brain. (fortunately that is not common but it does happen). They can also cause hearing loss, severe neck pain, dizziness, nausea, blindness and memory loss. George Clooney suffered a csf leak a few years ago caused by a tear in the dura (covering the spinal cord) from an injury and he had severe headaches and memory loss until the leak was fixed. Also something most doctors are completely unaware of is that these headaches can start a few weeks after an epidural. (Mine started three weeks after an epidural and lasted three months because of misdiagnosis !) Hopefully Tori will get better quickly no matter what the cause of her headaches and if this is the cause it will be recognized and treated promptly. It’s a terrible thing for a mother of a newborn baby to go through.

Sorry to hear that Tori has these terrible headaches. I saw that picture of her going off to the hospital. She had no makeup on and looked so young and helpless. Hope everything goes well for her.

My girlfriend in her mid 30′s has a migrane shortly after giving birth. It lasted 2 days and she went to the hospital and suffered an aneurysm….she died! Please Tori, make sure you get a cat scan and check for a blockage!! Be thorough and don’t waste any time!!
