Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott: We’re Doing “Really Well,” “Stronger Than Ever”
Both stars took to their respective blogs to announce that McDermott — who was in rehab earlier this year for various addictions, after getting caught in a cheating scandal — is getting back to his work as “The Gourmet Dad.”
“As all of you know, our family has been through a lot this last year. I’m happy and proud to say that we are doing really well, and that Dean and I are working very hard to make our relationship and our family better than ever. I’m proud of Dean for all of the hard work he’s been doing on himself, and I’m excited that he is back to blogging over on The Gourmet Dad!”
The actress noted that in addition to his coverage of “everything from food to family to fitness,” McDermott will also “be talking about his sobriety and keeping everyone updated on how he is doing.”
For his part, McDermott shared:
It’s been a while since I’ve blogged here on the Gourmet Dad, and I’m really excited to be back to it! I’ve spent the last several months working on myself and our family, and I can’t wait to get back in the swing of things here on The Gourmet Dad.
I’ll be blogging about everything from fitness to kid-friendly foods to family. Over the last few months it’s been incredibly important for me to stay healthy, focus on my sobriety and do everything I can to be the best husband and father possible. It’s been a difficult year, but I’m happy to say that I’m doing better than ever. And the same goes for our family. We’re stronger than ever and I’m excited to share our family’s milestones with all of you.
I also wanted to thank all of you for your support over the last several months. T and I have received so many messages from you guys offering us your love and strength, and it’s been just incredible to have so much support from so many amazing people.
The couple also both posted the same family photo featuring them posing with their four kids — see above and below.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Spelling and McDermott chronicled their marriage struggles on the docu-series “True Tori,” which ended with the pair on shaky ground.
A family trip last week, however, suggested things were better, and we’re glad to see that it’s now official.
