The highly questionable Star graces America’s supermarkets this week with a cover story calling Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s marriage “loveless” and “all about the money.”
The tab says that the relationship “has been a lie from the get-go!” The source for all this information is McDermott’s pal Michael Olifiers, who tells the mag, “There is no question Dean is with Tori for the money and the fame,” and that their marriage is rooted in Dean’s desperation for the spotlight. Olifiers says McDermott spoke cruelly of Spelling when he first met her when both worked on the 2005 TV movie “Mind Over Murder,” saying of his future wife, “Tori looks like she’s been hit by a truck! I can’t believe I have to kiss her. She looks like a horse.”
The article gets worse from there, detailing how McDermott left his wife of twelve years to date Spelling (who split from her spouse, too) in a bid for financial security. The couple married in May 2006. “As soon as they found out they could make money from exploiting their relationship, they were hooked,” says Olifiers of their reality TV contract.
But Spelling herself shot down the nasty hit piece in less than 140 characters, saying on Twitter, “R they kiddin? DON’T believe. Uggh. Hate tabloid lies!”
So who do you believe? The star or the Star?
