NASCAR Star Tony Stewart Hits And Kills Driver Kevin Ward, Jr. During Sprint Car Race (VIDEO)
NASCAR star Tony Stewart hit and killed another race car driver, Kevin Ward, Jr., on Saturday night at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in Ontario County, New York.

On lap 14 of the 25-lap sprint car race, Stewart’s car wedged and spun Ward’s vehicle up against an outside wall.
Ward emerged unscathed, and then walked down the track, pointing and yelling at the 43-year-old driving champ.
Then, in an instant, as Stewart sped his way around the track once again, he clipped the 20-year-old Ward, who was thrown a few feet and lay motionless on the speedway.
Ward was immediately transported to nearby Thompson Health hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department, there are currently no pending charges against Stewart.
The racetrack posted on its Facebook page, “Canandaigua Motorsports Park will not have an official statement on the accident that happened in the ESS race until tomorrow. Please pray for the entire racing community of fans, drivers, and families. Please be respectful in any comments.”
