Tony Bennett chose a very sensitive time to express his views on this subject. Nothing will ever excuse the atrocity that was 9/11, but it didn’t happen in a vacuum. Anti-American feeling had been building up for decades & the bombing of the World TradeCenter in 1993 gave a clear indication of that. Maybe we should have paid more attention then. We can nly hope nothing like 9/11 ever happens again.
