Tony Awards Red Carpet Live Stream 2016: Watch Tonys Pre-Show Online!
The 2016 Tony Awards will kick off on Sunday with a red carpet pre-show, and Gossip Cop has a live stream!
For the second year in a row, the official Tonys festivities are beginning with an online-only look at the red carpet as stars make their big arrivals. Called “Live on the Tony Awards Red Carpet Show,” coverage will be spearheaded by TV personality Alicia Quarles and Laura Kelly Michael of Finding Neverland, as well as Tony winners Karen Olivo and Jordan Roth.
In addition, costume designer Esosa and Vogue.com style editor Edward Barsamian will serve as this year’s fashion correspondents. Returning from last year are Randi Zuckerberg as the tech and social correspondent, and Blake Ross as the theater correspondent. All together, the group will spotlighting “nominees, presenters and performers as they arrive for the big night.”
But that’s not all. For the first time, the red carpet stream will segue into a “Tony Awards Behind-the-Scenes Show” stream once the ceremony begins. Olivo will be one of the faces participating, with former Tony nominee Laura Osnes interviewing stars backstage. There will also be “Winners’ Circle” chats, where “Glee” star Jenna Ushkowitz, Justin Guarini, Josh Segarra, and Max von Essen will greet the night’s award-winning stars once they leave the stage.
It’s all slated to start at 5:30 p.m. Eastern, and Gossip Cop will have coverage all night. Stay tuned for the live stream!
