Tom Hiddleston NOT Dating Taylor Swift For ‘James Bond’ Role, Despite Report
Tom Hiddleston is NOT dating Taylor Swift because he believes it will help land him the role of James Bond, despite an absurd webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “nonsense.”
As Gossip Cop reported, photos emerged on Wednesday of Swift and Hiddleston kissing and cuddling on a rocky beach in Rhode Island, seemingly confirming that the two are a couple. But according to HollywoodLife, the actor has a hidden motive for being with the pop star. A so-called “source” tells the site, “Tom is making a huge power play dating Taylor in his quest to be the next James Bond.”
The outlet’s dubious source further claims that Hiddleston is hooking up with Swift just to become a household name. The webloid’s seemingly phony insider further contends that Hiddleston is strategically giving himself “the best opportunity in securing the part” by dating Swift, and his new relationship will supposedly “make him the clear favorite” to take over the role of 007 from Daniel Craig.
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who laughed off the webloid’s claim, before exclusively assuring us it’s complete “nonsense.” Whether or not Hiddleston becomes the next James Bond will have nothing to do with his personal life. HollywoodLies’s theory that the film’s producers will be swayed by the actor’s romance with Swift is purely speculative and flat-out wrong. A major casting decision simply isn’t being made based on one’s love life.
Of course, Gossip Cop isn’t surprised by outlet’s claim. We have repeatedly corrected HollywoodLies for its many tall tales about Swift, including a recent false claim that she and Calvin Harris had gotten secretly engaged. Gossip Cop has also called out the webloid numerous times for wrongly alleging that the singer was feuding with Selena Gomez. This latest report about Hiddleston dating Swift to secure the James Bond role is equally untrue.
