MAG: Tom Cruise Spoiling Suri As Plot To Seize Custody From Katie Holmes

In its latest misguided take on the Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes split, In Touch claims Cruise is plotting a new custody battle over their daughter Suri, and that his recent father-daughter trip to Disney World was part of the conspiracy.

The magazine, which already embarrassed itself with nasty speculation about Holmes’ health, is now trying to find ways to make a different bogus cover story — claiming Suri has begged to live with Cruise — look more plausible.

That’s how we arrived at In Touch allegations that Suri’s dream Disney vacation was actually a “bribe” and “part of Tom’s master plan” to “spoil his daughter rotten, get his own lavish home nearby and rehabilitate his public image so he can push for legal custody in the future.”

Let’s back up.

As Gossip Cop reported last month, Holmes was given physical custody of Suri in the divorce agreement.

Mother and daughter have subsequently been happily living together in New York, and Cruise visited with Suri there last month.

That’s the set-up now and for the foreseeable future.

But In Touch portrays Cruise’s lavish Disney getaway with Suri as part of a bigger, manipulative scheme.

“Tom is out to steal more than the heart of a little girl who has already told her mother she’d rather live with Daddy,” writes the tabloid.

A so-called source for In Touch claims, “He’s not parenting her, he’s entertaining her. And he’s overdoing it.”

The magazine alleges that Cruise has been making “special renovations” to his Beverly Hills mansion to appeal to Suri, and is currently on the hunt for a luxurious residence in New York.

According to the tab, Cruise is planning to take a “break from movies” after his current projects “so he can spend more one-on-one time with Suri.”

“He needs to prove he’s just as reliable as Katie,” explains a so-called “confidante.”

And what’s all of this allegedly building towards?

“Tom is absolutely planning on going after custody of Suri in the future,” says an In Touch “insider,” adding, “His plan is to wait for now, and then fight for it down the line.”

Uh-huh.

This is completely bogus.

Cruise is spending time with his daughter, and that’s the end of it.

If Cruise DIDN’T go on trips with Suri or lavish attention on her, In Touch and the other tabs would be screaming about what an absentee, uncaring father he was.

When he DOES spend time (and, yes, money) on his daughter, the mag declares that it must be for ulterior motives.

He can’t win.

Multiple sources close to the situation assure Gossip Cop that Cruise is NOT looking to challenge the custody situation.

Cruise’s rep was blunt about the In Touch story: “It’s a lie.”

    You know…I don’t understand why people are so judgemental, and ready to give their opinion. BUT if someone “dare” comment on their own life…THAT is personal!!!!
    Tom loves his daughter as much as Katie does. You can’t say one loves the child more than the other.
    If you don’t have respect for the Mother, or the Father…at least have respect that this is the little girls Mommy, and Daddy, which she adores, loves, and needs.
    Don’t be yourself…think about the child before you open your mouth.

    I hardly think Tom is spoiling his daughter as part of some grand vendetta against Katie. He’s trying to comfort and spend time with his daughter though what is a very hard time for her and him. Even if he is “spoiling” her.. so what, its his kid and that’s what parents do, spoil their kids until they reach their teens and start rebelling from any parental contact. Let the man enjoy the time with his daughter!

    These magazines just fabricate pure lies, and wore than them are the people that spend money and keep them in business..

    The “spoil her rotten” ship has sailed. That child was given everything and anything by both her parents since the day she took her first breath so I doubt there’s any way TC can spoil her anymore than she already is.

    he’s being a hands on dad that’s all. a divorce is always painful for kids look at Heather McCartney she never really knew her real father because he and Linda divorced when she was a toddler and when they reconnected she called him papa and Paul daddy

    I am not a fan of scientology. My Daughter did the whole clear thing and had to work of her $100,000.00 debt. She did not wise up till after she had her first child and they would not cut back on her 70 hour work week and she told them to take a hike.
    However TC is doing what ever other divorced father who has only part time custody of his child does.I think it has more to do with cult because you think you have failed your kid in some way. Plus you want desperately to ease the pain of your kid. I was lucky enough to get custody of my Daughter and still spent time and money to ease her pain. I think all these people who make a living off writing this gossip crap should get a real job (go drive a truck)
    I think TC is a great actor. Like most great actors your family and personal live usually suffers. I hope this is a wake up call for him and I wish him and Suri and Katie the best.

    Even though I think he’s a flake—-I’m sure he loves his daughter. the child is much better off with her Mother and away from the household of scientology aka “CULT”. If I was Katie I wouldn’t trust him because look how he turned the older children to favor him and be distant from their mother Nicole Kidman.
