Tom Cruise And Jimmy Fallon “Lip Sync Battle” On ‘Tonight Show’ (VIDEO)
Cruise went up first, announcing that he’d be singing the “song of the summer.” The movie star then went into an impassioned rendition of The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” complete with a few dance moves. After watching Cruise’s impressive performance, Fallon said, “Why am I even trying… This is going to be hard to beat.”
Next, Fallon fake sang The Rolling Stones’ “Undercover Of The Night,” while mimicking Mick Jagger’s signature dance moves. This time around, Cruise was the one who was impressed, asking, “What do I do now?”
“The Tonight Show” house band The Roots then played a few bars of Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock And Roll,” which, of course, Cruise famously did the underwear dance to in Risky Business. “That wouldn’t be fair, would it?” said Cruise to Fallon. Instead, Cruise handed his jacket to Fallon and lip-synced all the different parts of Meatloaf’s “Paradise By The Dashboard Light.”
Fallon’s final tune was The Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling,” the song that Cruise sang to Kelly McGillis’ character in Top Gun. But, in a surprise duet, Cruise joined Fallon mid-song and the two serenaded a totally embarrassed woman in the audience.
