Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes “Marriage in Crisis”?

“Tom & Katie: Marriage in Crisis,” reads the headline of a Life & Style piece about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, who the mag says are struggling “to keep their relationship together.”

According to the tabloid, Holmes and Cruise “have been spending a huge amount of time apart,” and now “something’s definitely shifted between the two of them.”

The mag goes on to claim that “tension’s been building as Tom’s filmed one movie after another in Germany, Russia, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, leaving Katie to care for Suri like a single mother — and feeling depressed over her stalled career.”

Life & Style notes Holmes accepted an invitation to attend a skating event in Asia “because she’s trying to fill the void in her life while her workaholic husband focuses on his job.”

“With all the distance between them,” writes the mag ominously, “their marriage is in full-blown crisis.”

A source close to Cruise tells Gossip Cop the Life & Style piece is untrue, and points out that the actor, Holmes and their daughter Suri spent several days, including Father’s Day, in Iceland together.

That said, sources tell us there are issue in the marriage.

    Of course Cruise’s reps would say that. No doubt so would he. Katie might as well, because if she ever does wise up and decide to dump Cruise, she’ll have to fight fang-and-claw to keep custody of their daughter, and given the more-than-questionable history and tactics of Cruise’s religious cult, that could be a very scary proposition.

    Still does not change the fact that they spend more time apart than together. Now Katie & Suri are in NYC with Tom no where in sight! It seems they only spend a couple days a month together. I do not know how this can be good for a relationship if you do not mind spending lots of time apart.

    Did Katie really have “a career” before she met Tom? Except for Dawson’s Creek, I don’t remember her making any kind of impact on the movie industry.

    I wish they could overcome their differences and find a neutral common point.. Really, life for a kiddo with divorced parents is never the same. If they truly love their children, I think they should find a solution to their unresolved issues.. It works if they can truly do that~
