wow… what a…cough , cough… surprise???? this whole thing has been in BLINDS for months, YEARS? Maybe Suri will have a ‘normal’ childhood now? That is if Katie gets FULL CUSTODY of Suri? I know, know, all depends on the pre nup…. but, she did have Suri BEFORE the Wedding… and Katie, she does not seem as uhm., as ‘controllable’ as Nicole-as in -’not that many skeletons hanging around the closet’ ? Or, let’s say A WHOLE LOT LESS THEN TOMMY BOY. Isn’t her father a lawyer? don’t remember, but, remember something along that line… that he was very very involved inthe prenup as opposed to Nic’s father, Dr.Kidman, the Psychiatrist, who of course, tommy does not believe in. and is alot more miles and an ocean away.

Kate does not have much of a career… but, then again… Tommy’s career has taken a big nosedive in the last…. well…… 2, 3, 6,7 years… Amazingly, one blind had an actress wife staying with her older husband only until his movie open and then… DIVORCE FILELING…. Sounds…..well… familiar….. and they had been quite quiet.. not seen together.. not seen out much by themselves too much. Only occaissionally… Then, Tommy gets that ‘AWARD’!!!!!! by the FRIARS CLUB!!!!!! The FRIARS CLUB-known for basically ‘roasting’ known actors who do work in comedy, or comedians. So, of course, Tommy fits RIGHT IN!!!! He is ‘HONORED’ with an AWARD of some kind (cause I and my husband really don’t give a flying f…..!) but the award he was ‘HONORED WITH’ (PAID THE FRIARS CLUB FOR /OFF with a HIGH DONATION for something like BUILDING REPAIRS, RENT, ETC. ) was only given TWICE BEFORE in the HISTORY of the Friar’s club-the other two? Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope. Frank-another well known comedian ?????? Bob Hope is the only one I see getting an award for comedy, plus all the oversea shows he did for the USO(service men).Also Amazing that Tommy gets ‘awards’ like this when he has a movie coming out, especially, one that is not receiving great reviews. Rock of Ages-I actually wanted to see that on Broadway-Music from my era-but I did not expect to see ‘actors’ MY AGE IN THE SHOW OR MOVIE!!!!! Tommy is TOO OLD FOR THIS MOVIE!!!! 30 or ever 20 years ago, YES, BUT NOT AT 50!!!!! Did he buy the rights for the movie or is he an ex. producer? He has to put away the elevator shows, stop with the hair pieces, botox, etc. and start TAKING PARTS CLOSER TO HIS AGE!!! He is embarrassing, and embarrassing those around him. He needs therapy, but unfortunately his ‘religion’ is too IGNORANT to believe in those things so he will continue to live in his ‘made up world’ with his PAID YES PEOPLE just like Michael Jackson did.

Is it not ok to carry your child at Suri’s current age? I think it is, I don’t think there is a need to knock another’s parenting style, unless it’s really out there.
As far as her dream to marry Tom Cruise, knowing and KNOWING are two very different things, and perhaps it’s not the religion alone….

That’s how sole custody works in the US, unless the parent with sole physical custody asks the court to not let the other parent see the child. I think Katie is trying to get away from Scientology. It’s all up to the courts & what’s best for Suri, regardless if she wants to be around him or not.

It has been obvious to me for a long time that Katie Holmes is a very unhappy woman. Look at how awful she has been looking, with the dark circles under her eyes and the horrible clothes she’s been wearing for taking walks around NY. She just didn’t care anymore. I have a feeling she has been talking to her father, a divorce lawyer, about this for awhile and this was the moment to strike. I also think she has something major on Cruise (either a photo or audio) that will assure he will go along with whatever she wants. I don’t think this divorce will be ugly at all. Katie didn’t just decide on this filing the day before it happen, this has been in the works for a long, long time and I think her father has everything in place and there won’t be any drama . . . except in the tabloids.

Tom remained on good terms with Penelope and even took Katie to meet her. All the women he was with were sort of obscure but they sure did okay after he broke with them. Sounds like Katie will be worth mega-millions from the divorce. Tom is generous. I wonder if the courts will give Katie sole custody of Suri. If they do we can read the salacious details on the gossip sites. Frankly I like Tom Cruise and I hope he’s allowed to share custody of his daughter.

I remember that lovely sparkly eyed girl who glowed with happiness before she married Tom. Can only speculate as to what happened during their five years together to change that. I like Tom and Katie so I wish them well. Tom has never and will never alter his lifestyle and Katie – richer and wiser – will move on to something else.

I also remember that pretty girl. She was totally happy and I’m sure she thought her life was perfect. I don’t know what has happen in the last couple of years but her spark is gone and she looks older and miserable. Such a shame.

It’s not blackmail, it’s just that he and the “church” themselves will likely throw a ton of money her way to sign something that says she can’t talk about it.

I think it’s always sad when couple divorce while they have minor children. It’s even difficult for adult children when their parents split. The child’s life is turned upside down, nothing is ever the same again. It’s hard to say if little Suri has any type of normality or stability because her parents (especially her father) is always off on location.
