Tom Cruise NOT “Crushing” On Rebecca Ferguson, Despite Report
Tom Cruise is NOT “crushing” on his Mission Impossible 6 co-star Rebecca Ferguson, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “untrue.”
According to Star, the actor has “set his sights” on his Mission Impossible sidekick Ferguson. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Tom and Rebecca got on like a house on fire in the first film. [Ferguson] really made an impression on Tom.” “[Cruise] actually rewrote portions of the screenplay to give himself more face time with Rebecca,” further alleges the magazine’s supposed insider. The ill-informed or possibly made-up tipster adds, “In Tom’s opinion, letting their characters flirt with a romance on-screen could help things liven up.”
Gossip Cop investigated the tabloid’s story, and a source close to the situation exclusively assures us the report is “untrue.” Cruise is not “crushing” on Ferguson, nor did he change around the script in an effort to spend more time with her. We’re told the entire article is simply inaccurate.
Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by Star’s fabricated story. In 2015, Gossip Cop debunked the outlet for falsely alleging Cruise and Cheryl Burke exchanged numbers at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards that year. And shortly before that bogus tale, we called out the magazine for wrongly claiming Cruise was marrying his assistant Emily Thomas. Neither article was remotely true, and the same goes for this latest one.
