CLAIM: Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz Have “Sexy Date”

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz had a “sexy date,” according to Life & Style, one of several outlets reporting that something romantic is simmering between the two stars.
What’s behind the speculation?
The magazine reports that Cruise attended Diaz’s 40th birthday party at the Coworth Park hotel outside London on August 30.
“A beautiful setting, fabulous food, a happy occasion — the perfect sparks to ignite the flames of a new romance,” explains Life & Style.
Wait… so the “sexy date” was actually just Cruise being among the guests at a party?
Don’t worry: Life & Style backs up its bait-and-switch with plenty of filler!
“I could see them hooking up, absolutely,” a Diaz “pal” tells the tabloid, which writes that “a love connection between the two mega celebrities wouldn’t be as surprising as it sounds.”
The friend adds, “They’ve always gotten along really well; they’re totally tight. Cameron says Tom is an awesome guy.”
Apparently, because Cruise and Diaz get along – and will both be working on film projects in England soon — Life & Style thinks the pair could soon become a couple.
In other words: Cruise and Diaz are friends and both single, which means tabloids want them to date.
But that’s where it ends.
A rep for Cruise tells Gossip Cop the “dating” speculation is not true, and that “he and Cameron are friends only.”
