Toddler Causes Lockdown at White House After Slipping Through Security Gate
The White House faced an extreme danger on Thursday night — a sneaky toddler.
President Obama’s headquarters, along with Pennsylvania Avenue, was put on lockdown after a young child managed to squeeze through the fence on the North Lawn.
Per protocol, the incident triggered security alerts, and sent Secret Service Agents running across the property as all the gates were closed.
The unidentified kid was eventually reunited with his parents.
“We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but in lieu of that he got a timeout and was sent on way with parents,” Edwin Donovan, spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service, said in a statement.
