Jessica Simpson And Mom Tina NOT Going To ‘Mother-Daughter Rehab,’ Despite Claim
Jessica Simpson and her mom Tina are not doing “mother-daughter rehab” together, despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. A source tell us it’s “not true” and calls the rumor “insane.”
According to Life & Style, Simpson’s mother is “not only pushing Jessica to enter rehab for alcohol and drug addiction, but suggesting they do it together.” A so-called “insider” tells the tabloid, “Jessica’s drinking has gotten out of control, and she uses Adderall as a diet drug,” adding, “One minute she’s fine and the next minute she’s talking nonsense and acting all crazy.”
The magazine, without any proof, nonchalantly claims Tina was “hitting the bottle” after her marriage to Joe Simpson fell apart, and now that she’s engaged again to a landscaper, she wants to address her drinking issues “before she walks down the aisle.” The tabloid’s source is then conveniently quoted as saying, “Going to rehab with Jessica means she can kill two birds with one stone. Tina sees it as a win-win for mother and daughter.”
Here’s what’s true is the Life & Style story: Tina is, in fact, Jessica’s mom. Here’s what’s not true in the Life & Style story: Everything else. Tina is not trying to get Jessica into rehab nor has it ever been suggested they do a “mother-daughter rehab.” A source close to Simpson tells Gossip Cop exclusively that the whole premise is “insane” and entirely “not true.”
Of course, Gossip Cop is not surprised. Life & Style has repeatedly published inaccurate stories about Simpson, including reports that she was having a third child to save her marriage and was getting tons of plastic surgery before her wedding. Time has passed and, as usual, Gossip Cop was right and the tabloid was wrong. Trust us, in six months from now, Jessica and Tina Simpson will have still not gone to rehab together.
