Tina Fey Slams “Boring” Twitter (VIDEO)

Tina Fey does not like Twitter.

The “30 Rock” star and Golden Globes co-host was asked about the social media platform for an “Ask Tina” segment on NBC.com and gave a less than enthusiastic assessment.

“I think you should have to get a license to use Twitter,” said Fey. “Because most people are so f**king boring, that they should shut up.”

The writer-actress noted a couple of people she’d license for Twitter before declaring, “Maybe nobody else. Maybe everybody else, go write it in a journal and mail it to your f**king Grandma. Because it’s boring. IT’S BORING.”

And Fey wasn’t done.

    I don’t do twitter, neither FB, but unfortunately this is the reality of present day. To hear her complain about it is laughable as its clear that she is trying to be funny( which she is not) and not for genuine reason. I personally don’t care if she is, or whoever else, on twitter, but people needs to figure out themselves that it’s a waste of time, that there is a living world outside the window and all they need to do is to go out and meet people instead of follow them or be-friend them without deeper personal reason.
    People will not stop to waste their time on twitter because she is mocking them, especially if she is fake.
    To her “little entertainment”- I was embarrassed for her. It remains me of those poor -want -to -be comedian first time on a stage.
    Tina, please, don’t do that again.

    twitter like facebook, it is for amusement, it’s not suppose to be taken so seriously. Martina, you can live your life, go outside and still make a tweet.

    Mostly, she seemed like a TV person griping about another, competing media industry. Does she have a rant about newspapers and radio, too?

    Twitter and TV are hardly competing industries. To compare twitter to newspapers and the radio is grasping for straws as well.

    If anything twitter competes with blogs and glitzy magazines, not 30 rock and Saturday night live. Have you ever read the ‘everyday persons’ twitter? it IS boring as hell, so are most celebrities twitter.
