Time 100 For 2016: See Which Celebrities Made “Most Influential” List (PHOTOS)
Time unveiled the 2016 Time 100 on Thursday, its annual list of the “most influential people” in the world. And, as has become tradition, a number of celebrities have made the cut. Check out the photos below!
Under the category of “Pioneers” are Aziz Ansari, Caitlyn Jenner, Gina Rodriguez, and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. “Titans” include Dwayne Johnson and Mark Zuckerberg. Kendrick Lamar, Gael Garcia Bernal, Taraji P. Henson, Melissa McCarthy, designer Riccardo Tisci, director Ryan Coogler, Ariana Grande, Idris Elba, Oscar Isaacs, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, recent Oscar winner Mark Rylance, Charlize Theron, and Priyanka Chopra are all on the “Artists” list.
“Leaders” feature such figures as Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, President Obama and news anchor Lester Holt. And then there’s “Icons,” with honorees including Nicki Minaj, Lewis Hamilton, Karlie Kloss, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Adele, Ronda Rousey, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Each was recognized with a tribute from a fellow notable person.
DiCaprio, Minaj, Miranda, Chopra and Zuckerberg, however, were the only stars to score their own covers, along with fellow Time 100 member Christine Lagarde. Minaj will also have the honor of performing at the upcoming Time 100 Gala, along with Grande, on April 26. Attendees are expected to include Jenner, McCarthy, and many more stars.
