Howard Stern Gives Tim Hockenberry’s “Imagine” Cover Standing Ovation on AGT

Howard Stern declared Tim Hockenberry’s “America’s Got Talent” semi-final performance the “most moving we’ve had from a singer in a love time.”

Hockeberry played the piano as he sang John Lennon’s “Imagine,” accompanied by a cellist.

The sparse arrangement won over Stern, who gave Hockenberry a standing ovation, and said the singer deserves “a place in the finals.”

Sharon Osbourne also pointed out the “simplicity” of the performance, noting it was “very true” and “refreshing.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed it,” she added.

Howie Mandel said he could listen to Hockenberry “all night long,” but expressed concern that it isn’t “original enough to take [him]  to the next step.”

    omitting some 90 percent of the lyrics did make it a more enjoyable song but this guy is a little too much of a joe cocker imitator.

    Tim Hockenberry blew the roof off Americas Got Talent with his
    awesome performance. He defiantly needs a spot in the finals and he’s one act
    who has a chance of winning the million dollar prize. I can’t wait to watch the
    next episode of Americas Got Talent which’s one of my favorite shows during
    primetime. I always hate it feels like I watch more commercials than I do my
    show. The Auto Hop feature lets you decide whether you want to view commercials
    or skip them. I was excited to use this feature after my coworker at Dish
    showed me how it works. If you want to watch commercials then you can always
    skip back and watch them, even if the Auto Hop is enabled. This allows me to
    save money on batteries for the remote, since I won’t have to fast forward like
    I once did.

    Tim can sing, but his good guy act is a fabrication. He deserted his girlfriend & baby as soon as AGT was over.
