“Wow this is so messed up!” begins Tila Tequila in an “exclusive” blog posting about Rihanna.
Tequila claims a “source” told her “about Rihanna and her so called ‘FAN CONTEST’ where she asks all of her fans to help her come up with a cool name for her new perfume that she is working on.”
According to Tequila, “The contest winner was supposedly going to get credit and more from Rihanna as a ‘THANK YOU’ for helping her find a name for her perfume line.”
Tequila further reports, Rihanna “DID find a beautiful name that a fan thought up and sent to her. The fan called it: Rebel’d’fleur. Rihanna ended up taking that name, and then no announcements on who the winner was. No ‘THANK YOU’ no nothing!”
Note: The perfume is actually called “Reb’L Fleur,” not “Rebel’d’fleur,” as Tequlila wrote.
Anyway, the reality star, who has published a bunch of phony stories and lied about being pregnant, then gripes, “Rihanna allegedly just scammed all of her poor fans into helping her find a cool name for her perfume line, because she’s too unoriginal to think of one on her own, but then totally shammed all of them! That is so messed up!”
Shammed? Scammed?
No, what’s messed up is Tila Tequila.
Rihanna NEVER ran a contest to help name her perfume.
A fansite called RihannaDaily put up a competition for fun to come up with a name, a contest Rihanna had NO connection to at all.
And while the editor of RihannaDaily tells Gossip Cop, “A lot of visitors had a lot of fun and created lots of great names,” none of the site’s readers ever suggested the name “Reb’L Fleur.”
Additionally, a source close to Rihanna says, the Tequila story is “super made up.”
Shocking. Not.
