Tiger Woods exposed in February Vanity Fair

Truth rating: 10

EXPOSED

(Vanity Fair/Annie Leibovitz)

Shortly before the Tiger Woods’ car crash and subsequent sex scandal, the golfing great posed for a series of photos for famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

And now Vanity Fair has decided to use a Leibovitz shot of Woods pumping iron for its February cover, along with an essay about his tragic fall.

The piece, written by Buzz Bissinger, is accompanied by a slew of other photos featuring a somewhat exposed Woods.

Not only do the photos show a vulnerable Woods, but the writer of the piece nicely summarizes Woods’ psyche when he states: “In the end it was the age-old clash of image versus reality… He exhibited the same superhuman confidence off the golf course that he exhibited on it, apparently convinced he would never be caught despite the stupid sloppiness at the end—text messages, voice-mail messages. He deluded himself into thinking he could be something that he wasn’t: untouchable. The greatest feat of his career is that he managed to get away with it for so long in public, the bionic man instead of the human one who hit a fire hydrant.”

The more I see, the more I hear . . . He’s just a sad, sad man. It’s always obvious to anyone on the outside of these types of affairs, that the women are using the so-called man for the (future) fame and/or money, that none of them should be trusted to keep their mouth shut forever, especially in this world of instant gratification. Too many are fool enough to actualy believe they’re the only one in on the gig, until it explodes and then they’re ashamed of themselves. Whenever any man lets another woman (or any woman lets any man) have something over their spouse – a secret of some kind or private information – it’s belittling to that person more than it is to the spouse who’s been left out of that sleezy drama. I feel for Elin, but she should hold her head up and her hand out if she stays. The children deserve better for a dad, and Tiger owes them his time and his attention. He should have learned that much from his own father!
