Did not quite like the hunger games for some reason. It did not rock the boat with me, I probably would not recommend it to my fellow movie goers.

I found it very good and true to the book mostly, but not great and was a little disappointed. It is widely thought of as being superior to the Twilight movies – I would disagree as the Twilight movies are much faster paced and more entertaining. I think The Hunger Games could do with being half an hour shorter, at least.

  • HappyHungerGames

Agreed. There was just too many big things missing from THG movie to ignore. The Twilight movies have generally been on key with the books and any changes made have helped not hindered. Some idiot was on one of the Robert Pattinson threads complaining how MovieBella wore jeans more in the movie whereas BookBella wore skirts and dresses more. Apparently this poster thought that jeans werent feminine enough. I just wanted to scream at her because that is such a small, insignificant thing compared to THG movie.

  • HappyHungerGames

I think the majority of people who are seeing it have not read the books. If you are a fan of the books there is just too much difference between it and the movie to ignore.

what do you expect it’s teenagers seeing it multiple times that’s driving the box office like Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid in late 69 through early 72 the first movie to make over 100,000,000 dollars in it’s first box office run granted that actualy had great acting/writting going for it hunger games and so on don’t

  • amandanoa

I disagree – I think THG and Twilight both have great acting and writing and are both good stories.

  • Ryan

Twilight’s a great book but whoever wrote the script needs to be hit over the head with something heavy.

  • Apogee319

Twilight is awful and the acting is mediocre at best. I don’t recall critics giving high praise to any of those actors. Ever.

Then you can’t recall very well. Robert Pattinson got great reviews in Water for Elephants and Kristen Stewart got great reviews in every indie movie she has ever done.

But this isn’t about Twilight. Let’s focus on THG people! There isn’t a fight between HP/Twilight/THG. Each are mega series that have made tons of money. They aren’t in competition with eachother. Let’s leave it alone.
