Think Like A Man Still on Top, Beats New Releases

Think Like A Man has once again grabbed the top spot at the box office.

The ensemble adaptation of Steve Harvey’s bestseller took in $18 million, beating second place finisher The Pirates! Band of Misfits, which earned $11.4 million.

Nabbing a close third was The Lucky One, which had $11.3 million in ticket sales.

The Hunger Games and Jason Segel and Emily Blunt’s comedy The Five-Year Engagement came in fourth and fifth places with $11.25 million and $11.15 million, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Safe ($7.7 million), The Raven ($7.3 million), Chimpanzee ($5.5 million), The Three Stooges ($5.4 million), and The Cabin in the Woods ($4.5 million).

    I didn’t see anything this weekend because of the storms. Weather was too bad to go out in. I do want to see “Think Like a Man” just because those b!tches over at Jezebel are so up-in-arms about. HA! Will probably see it early next week. I also want to see “Five Year Engagement” because it looks funny. I’m surprised it made so little money because Jason and Emily have been on all of the talk shows lately. Guess people don’t find them interesting enough to pay money to see them in a movie. Too bad. They are both very good actors.

    I actually have a drive-in about 20 miles from here. I saw ‘Three Stooges’ and ‘The Pirates’ Both were good. Very impressed with the spot on portrayal of Moe ,Larry, and Curly.

    Stay away from The Raven. It’s pure ca-ca, devoid of any imagination whatsoever.

    I saw The Hunger Games – none of the others interested me that much. And even though I’m not a comic book fan, I actually think The Avengers looks like fun.
