The Voice Final 3 Revealed As Eliminated Singers Return For Wild Card Twist!
“The Voice” had a historic results show on Tuesday with the reveal of the season 7 Top 3 finalists and an unprecedented wild card twist that will ultimately lead to the announcement of a fourth finalist on Wednesday’s “Today Show.” Get the results and all the details below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the Top 5 contestants competed on Monday in hopes of earning one of three spots in the final four. At the start of Tuesday’s live show, host Carson Daly revealed which singers received enough viewers’ votes to automatically continue on to next week’s finale as the Top 3. They are: Chris Jamison (Team Adam), Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake), and Matt McAndrew (Team Adam).
But the show’s first-ever wild card round was being used to determine who would take a fourth slot, turning the Top 3 into a Final Four. For the first time in the music competition’s history, all the eliminated contestants, including Taylor John Williams (Team Gwen) and Damien (Team Adam) who had just missed the cut moments earlier, were brought back to each perform one more time in hopes of winning redemption that would lead them straight into the finale, even if they had been voted off weeks ago.
It was an amazing opportunity for Pharrell, whose three singers — Sugar Joans, DaNica Shirey, and Luke Wade — never made it to the Top 5, and for both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, who had the chance of seeing Ryan Sill and Anita Antointette (Team Gwen) and Reagan James and Jessie Pitts (Team Blake) return at the best possible time. In fact, some viewers even wondered whether the twist was fair, since someone eliminated last month, during, say, Top 10 week, could now get fast-tracked to the finale, despite missing a few crucial weeks of competition.
Regardless of where you fall in this debate, all viewers can vote on the wildcard performances that took place tonight. The votes will be tabulated to be determined the winner, who won’t be known until Wednesday morning via the “Today Show.” Who of the eliminated competitors would you like to get the fourth finale slot?
