“The Voice” Results: Top 11 Revealed After First Season 11 Instant Save
“The Voice” had its first live results show of season 11 on Tuesday, eliminating one artist and instantly saving another to make the Top 11. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop reported, the Top 12 all performed live during Monday’s two-hour broadcast. Among the standouts were Billy Gilman (Team Adam) and Ali Caldwell (Team Miley), who were the only two artists to receive standing ovations from the entire panel. It was no surprise tonight when host Carson Daly revealed both had earned enough votes to be safe from elimination.
After Daly revealed one by one who else made it through to next week, two contestants were left: Aaron Gibson (Team Miley) and Sa’Rayah (Team Alicia). As the bottom two, they had one shot at redemption via the Instant Save. And, as in seasons past, that meant each would get to perform once more in hopes of winning a second chance via Twitter.
Sa’Rayah went first, singing Aretha Franklin’s “Rock Steady,” followed by Gibson doing “Lego House” by Ed Sheeran. After the performances, the online voting period opened up. And by the time it closed minutes later, the tallied votes showed Gibson had won the save. Sa’Rayah, unfortunately, was therefore eliminated.
Now the new team standings for the Top 11 are as follows: Adam Levine still has all three of his artists — Brendan Fletcher, Gilman, and Josh Gallagher. Blake Shelton is also keeping his team full with Courtney Harrell, Austin Allsup, and Sundance Head. And, thanks to the Instant Save, Cyrus is moving on with Caldwell, Darby Walker and Gibson.
But now Keys is down to We McDonald and Christian Cuevas. Watch video of the final results announcement below.
