“The Voice” Proposal Video: Jubal Lee Young Proposes To Amanda Preslar
Jubal Lee Young made history on “The Voice” on Monday when he got down on one knee and proposed to girlfriend Amanda Preslar during the blind auditions. Check out the video below!
Auditioning as a duo, Young said before they took the stage, “It’s amazing to be her with Amanda. This is the best thing that’s ever happened to me right here. Amanda is what I’ve been looking for my entire life. And I’m going to lay it out there on the stage for her tonight.”
They performed “Seven Bridges Road” by The Eagles, and got both Pharrell and Gwen Stefani to push their buttons. Their chemistry was evident to the whole panel, leading Blake Shelton to wonder if they were married. “Not yet, said Preslar. “One day.”
Young immediately said, “Alright,” and then whipped out a diamond engagement ring. Preslar was understandably stunned, and asked her boyfriend if he was “serious.” He most definitely was, and she accepted, leading Shelton to quip after, “Whew, that would’ve been embarrassing.”
Levine then pointed out, “I happen to know that Blake is technically an ordained minister, so if you want to get it done…” Young amusingly quipped in reply, “Let’s enjoy this moment for a minute.” The newly-engaged couple went on to pick Pharrell as their coach, and he tweeted after the broadcast, “I got my first duo AND they get engaged in front of our eyes. How is this real life??” Watch the video below!
